  1. Well I haven't been a fan of Yedlin tbf. He's tended to concede more goals than he creates, but he has looked good this season. Exactly this!
  2. I fancy Man City to win by the odd goal. They are a superb football team when it all clicks. How you can claim a comfortable Liverpool win is a little strange. Opinions though, I love them.

I remember one of Ameobi's first games was against Barcelona away. He tortured the Barca defence. I'm thinking he was only 19 or 20 years of age. A lot of so called fans on here know "diddly squat" about Ameobi but it sounds hip and cool to slag the bloke off. Get off his back ffs! He was shite man. Look at the manager and players he played under and alongside to learn from, then compare that to Joelinton. Bruce signed Carroll and wants him to be a mentor to him ffs. He wasn't shite. He just wasn't as good as Beardsley, Cole, Shearer and Ferdinand. Christ, look at those names, they were fantastic yet when Ameobi came on the pitch the idiot morons would say "he's shite".

I can quite literally turn those comments on their head and claim that is why Ameobi was classed as shite by a lot of fans. Ameobi was expected to follow in the footsteps of Beardsley, Cole, Shearer and Ferdinand. Was he as good as them? Of course not. So when he did come into the team, you had the morons complaining "he's shite"! He wasn't, he just wasn't as good as those mentioned fabulous players. He was shite man. This bloke will get 6 goals max.
  9. Sorry, but you can’t blame anyone else for missing those howling sitters. You have to finish one on ones when you have that much time through on goal. Finishing was fucking shite and he will need to work on it. This
  10. VAR is brilliant actually by the fact everyone knows what is happening/why etc. What makes it so annoying is that the VAR referees get it so wrong. If I hear "but there was contact" again then I feels I may crack up. Of course there is going to be contact, it's a contact sport. Is hugging someone when a corner is delivered not deemed "but there was contact"? The referees are useless. If a player is grabbing someone by the shirt then it's a foul, simple. If a player falls over after both the attacker and defender "come together" then that is blatant cheating. Anyone that thinks Watford deserved a penalty need their head looking at.

Love it. This will actually resonate with them. They are clueless (the fans) of what makes a club. I just wished I could gloat. However, with our terrible/disgraceful/theiving owner I can only raise a faint smile.

We could try doing that even with Joelinton. He clearly doesn't relish high balls winged at him from deep. Get the ball into his feet and see how he gets on. Problem is we don't have enough good possession to get the ball up the pitch where he should be operating. Absolutely. Try playing to his strengths. Which are? I'm intrigued to know what Joelinton's attributes are. Looks to have decent feet in the penalty area on the rare occasion he gets the ball in there. Other than that can't really say until we start getting the ball coming in from decent angles. I'm watching Liverpool v Spurs and Kane gets on the end of an aimless ball hoofed up by a defender. He gets in front of his marker (that's in front of the defender Joelinton) and Son picks up the ball and Spurs nearly score. Why can't our centre forward (cough) do something similar. He is clueless I tell you. Harry Kane is a centre forward and has been a centre forward for a long time. He also has a far better supply. Joelinton has never played this role before in his life, no wonder he looks shite. It's not his fault, he shouldn't be there being asked to do this. Greg, I'm going around in circles with this. Let's cut to the Chase. Do you think Joelinton should be playing in this football team? Yes or no.
  13. It's well known on here that Dubravka NEVER has a poor game. And you are slated if you say otherwise.

  16. We saw it numerous times in the earlier games this season, and in the threads for those matches numerous people commented on it. Think the guy is fed up of playing in a team that has minimum possession and only ever aims long balls at his head. It's disgusting really. If we look at our first team, it’s ok. Not going to do anything of note, but shouldn’t go down. We have a manger though who isn’t good enough, because he’s cheap, and will spout pro-Ashley shit. We have a training ground that is 10 years behind other Premier League teams, and 5-7 years behind a lot of championship ones. All in all we are very limited because of this, and additionally because our depth in squad is virtually non-existent. I'm staggered that anyone thinks this player has good hold up play. I take on board the frailties of our team and of not supporting him but hold up play is actually what the phrase refers to, "hold up play". By that what I mean is if your team is under pressure it is great to have an outlet, even if it is a huge boot up the pitch, for a forward who can kill precious minutes by HOLDING UP THE BALL. This player is clueless in the art of centre forward play. Doesn't run the channels, movement in the box is rubbish, hopeless in the air and his HOLD UP PLAY is shocking. Anyone who thinks otherwise just hasn't played a game of football in their lives.
  17. And I don't blame him either. It's ridiculous how often the team just flings things in his general direction. However, as a number 9 he is actually a target man. I would expect him to have some sort of hold up play but he has none! He's a ton better when it is being played into his feet, and his hold up and link up is really good when that happens. Launching it at his dome from 50 yards is ridiculous. His hold up play is non existent. You are talking crap! I can't be bothered arguing this man I really don't care enough. The whole team and setup under this manager is pointless Joelinton has given up on life and others will continue to follow and go down the toilet. We stink! Kaka, I apologise for being abrupt but this bloke completely astounds me. And not in a good way. I honestly can't see what he brings to the team. If he is not a centre forward then why is Bruce playing him there? This signing is very suspicious and awful, especially when you factor in why Rafa was so against it. The whole Joelinton signing stinks to the high heavens.

He's not a centre forward and has never had to play with his back to goal and hold up the ball in his life. What the hell do you expect? Not his fault. Not his fault? I despair.

  20. I've just seen him win a header. It was actually quite comical. How is he getting a game?
