What the hell is a formal period of due diligence. Tried to google it and nothing for it think he has just made that up. They have already done due diligence why the heck would they then have another period. If that happens Rafa will walk and the price of the club will plummet. To be honest it already has with the recent results. He surely must see that now is the only time he is ever likely to even get his money back. If you listen to the chronicle podcast this week Mark Douglas was saying that if you had asked some of their sources up until the bid came in they were sure the takeover wouldn't happen and that it was just a ploy from Ashley. I think that's where that London Economics article came from. Now they are changing their tune. So it just proves they know fuck all. For all we know a new bid could have been submitted and they are just going over the finer details of it.
