  1. It was Morgan who let Murphy go free for our second. Morgan did not cover himself in glory yesterday.
  2. ... and then have another wave of these super ignorant and super simplistic posts about me being so negative and wrong.
  3. Surely being a poor trainer means he fails the "no dickheads" requirement.
  4. Feel like I'm being baited into getting banned. I've put my entire opinion about why I felt uncertain of the result before the red card only for it to be completely ignored and then have another wave of these super ignorant and super simplistic posts about me being so negative and wrong. I'm just using this space to express my opinion on the game. The weird lot are joey and co who are putting in more effort on me than the game, yet are wilfully ignorant of anything and everything I have posted that doesn't fit their weird campaigns.
  5. Crazy good. My first post about the goal was just wow three times. But that doesn't fit the narrative you are trying so weirdly to keep spinning joey. Bless you.
  6. I didn't drop a negative post and fuck off. I posted all game. I also gave a full overview of my opinion which has been completely ignored for these simplistic barbs. Still, you guys do you.
  7. Not at all. You are being really weird now. Really weird.
  8. Oh I agree. Everyone fails with that squad and set up. You're blinded by ego taking the job Years ago, Mourinho took Manchester to second and then said something like it being his best achievement. He was working with the vanilla version of the current set-up. Billions later and they are even worse. I just don't think you rebuild with a very rigid 3 at the back, manager. Cos it will be several more hundred million of CBs and wing backs who the next guy won't have a use for.
  9. It is exactly this. The left foot step is so utterly odd out of context. He is lunging to get at Schar to leave one on him.
  10. Fwiw, I think Amorim needs sacking and writing off as a big mistake before he inflicts more damage. Cannot have a guy who is so dependent upon one system in charge of a rebuild.
  11. Ten Hag read the dossier and went out to buy Antony.
  12. Oh and the thing I don't think anyone has really hammered home about the red card. Duran literally rakes his studs up Schar. It isn't an attempt to put his foot down and Schar is in the way. He actively guides his studs up Schar's back. How is that anything but deliberately attempting to injure an opponent? Fucking prick. BBC have a picture on the game article of Duran eyeballing Schar's back as he is about to rake his studs down it. How is there a debate on this?
  13. Watched the first half an hour again to see if I am going mad. An no menace, I would've posted this anyway. And yeah, it was all about those final third entries that Villa were wracking up. They had gone slightly ahead of us on final third passes whilst playing considerably more directly. Whilst they hadn't created any major chances, it was a case of assuming that we wouldn't really have an answer for the volume of attacks across the 90, whilst at up to the red card dealing with them pretty well once they got at our back line. They had lots of clearly very well drilled channel balls and runners. Eventually Watkins would've come on with fresh legs to carry that threat on. To me, it felt like something that would persistently pressure us. Coupled with Trippier being out of practice and knowing he would fatigue early, I felt that despite being a goal down, Villa did have a bit more control on the game state. We were very well served by Trippier rocking up absolutely on it. At best, you say it was finely balanced (ignoring the score) at 30 minutes. I think people will struggle with that concept cos they'll just think of the score and the fact that we won. Of course, anything can - and did - happen. Doesn't change my read on how that game was developing up to the red card. Few more things from the second watch. Murphy was absolutely diabolical in the first 5 minutes. Bants that he helped us score by giving it away before Tonali won it back to leave Villa out of position to defend the break But we all know he is not press proof. Never will be. Dan Burn was incredible. Absolutely imperious. They attacked our right side as much as possible so Hall had a very quiet opening to the game. I think we need to develop Tonali and Bruno playing as a double pivot to take our game to the next level. They have everything to boss the middle together. I think we are sort of doing this, with Joelinton starting higher up the pitch. Tonali is the definition of a player who needs to the game to be in front of him. The experiment playing him in the RCM channel failed because of that. It is amazing we have him playing from deep now where he can maximise his strengths. He covers groud, protects the defence (fixing our biggest out of possession issue that has plagued us for years) and can retain possession. When he isn't playing a terrible pass (which happened way more times than I thought at the time), he is holding the ball the exact amount of time. Be it a quick release or an extra couple of touches.
  14. Howe has confirmed there was a full 20 man brawl with staff and players.
  15. Can't find the wham hoodie on the club shop.
  16. Especially managers who favour very specific formations (3 at the back, basically) which require you to build what would otherwise be considered to be a heavily unbalanced squad.
  17. Amad Diallo though, massively overrated. Looked like the worst winger on the pitch against Bournemouth. Mainoo has got potential, but is being overused to his detriment. Onana is low-key genuinely a good player, but has way too many clangers in his locker. I'm taking Dalot in this hypothetical. He's quality.
  18. Fake Bruno is actually an incredibly talented footballer who would instantly become one of our most important players in the out-there hypothetical that we signed him. He wouldn't get sent off constantly playing in a more organised, competitive side. So we wouldn't need to worry about that. Also seems that he is actually a good egg off the pitch.
  19. Absolutely devastated that the team who I love won against a rival for Europe. Gutted mate, yeah. Since you live for this, why don't you go through my post history from today and wallow in all my teary posts lamenting the goals we scored - which probably exist, if only for you.
  20. Anyone who has played to any level knows you have near perfect situational awareness in incidents like that. You know precisely where that other player is, you know how to avoid hurting them, and you know how you can hurt them. There isn't a doubt that Duran has made a predetermined move to get near Schar with his left foot stride and then gone for the "oops my right foot landed on him accidentally and raked his back as a lost balance" move. It was clumsy and calculated. The guy is a basket case. No wonder Villa wanted shot of him over the summer. He's gonna do something absolutely mental in the future.
  21. We've been here a billion times. Liverpool win this 3-1.
  22. It is the movement with the left initially to get near to Schar which is the first tell. The right foot is also deliberate.
