I don't know why Mahrez is starting. Guardiola seems to always screw up in these big Champions League matches these days.

Its nice to see another Premier League club not just be happy to stay up every season and have ambition. Apart from the Jorge Mendes link they are everything I want Newcastle to be.

I could see the club going for another foreign manager, but while that manager may be nice and play good football they won't have the same vision Benitez has for the club and will be happy to impress for 2 years and then leave for somewhere better like Everton and Leicester.

I think the team would get comfortably relegated without Benitez next season because we rely so much on his organisation and the good team spirit among the players. A lot of players from the Championship season are going to be sold in the summer which is probably right, but they will be replaced by players Thauvin who the club will see as having good sell on value, but won't fit into the managers way of players and not integrate themselves well in the team.

I'm not trying to make excuses for racist abuse, but I do wonder if some of these people making racist comments especially online are just doing it for attention. I remember a few weeks ago there was a Birmingham fan online making fun of Grealish about his dead brother, he got called out for, but he just continued to dig in and never said sorry. You’re definitely right about that Birmingham fan. The little scrote was clearly loving the attention he was getting. It’s why i can’t stand most forms of social media, it’s turning the human race into a bunch of desperate attention-seekers. I would get rid of the like button on all social media because it serves no purpose other than validating shite comments and feeding peoples egos.

Looking at Cardiff's fixtures its not beyond them to get 8 or 9 points from their remaining fixtures I could even see them getting something away to Man United if they have to. I would expect us to get a few more points from our remaining matches, but if this is a lengthy poor run of form we might at the very least need something in the last couple of matches. If we lose to Leicester and Cardiff beat Burnley then its game on again especially with their game in hand against Brighton.
