One touch pass and move. Looks like hes gone back to basics...

£3,855,000m + £30,607,794m = £34,462,794 surely? As said in the twitter link thread, it looks as though its Staveleys 10% of the club (the £30.6m) plus 10% of the recent club operating costs (the £3.8m) payment. Still no idea where the £9.5B is coming from
-
Not sure i follow that - wheres the £9.5 billion from?? The shares add up to £34,457,794.

Gonna be interesting to see which of our players respond to Howe. Its safe to say they are all under performing and Howe should be able to improve them. Obivously some players are gonna respond more than others, Imagine if Joe Lintone and Hendrick become decent but ASM and Dubs turn to shit

Charnley has resigned his directorship from multiple NUFC companies - https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/kHnDAsvJ46fXs0t1MxAY4iHvtow/appointments. All on the same day too - 7 October 2021. But hes still showing as active on a couple more...

I think weve been too harsh on Jones tbh. Yes the footballs been shite, yes players were out of position, etc etc but the teams been like this for 2 years. There was probably no point in Jones trying to impose his own philosophy on the team only for a new manager to come in and change it all again. Jones has probably thought that Ill keep the system (if Brucies way can be called that) that the players are used to and concentrate of the fitness side so that their ready for the newmanager coming in. Willock is injured and only played with injections so that limits his central midfield options. Lewis is either crapper than we thought or lacking in confidence so Dummett would normally step in but hes injured too. Dubs might still be working on his fitness following his long term injury so the alternative is Karlo. The fitness issues in the squad were the most glaring issue and Bruce deserved sacking just for starting the season with unfit players, this alone was absolutely inexcusable. To a large degree, Jones has been shat on by a shit manager and a lack of quality depth caused by years of decline. Still couldve played Schar though...

Loved that pic on here of him in the suit of armour.

Even if we do go down its not quite the huge disaster you might expect. It should help get rid of some of the higher earning deadwood but also, it would give us a year to get the infrastructure in place so that when we go back up we hit the ground running.
-
Our medical department will finally leave the 18th centuary then I assume our injury record will improve. Dubs should be good for a few years yet.

'C' word usage in this thread has been at an all time high
-
In all seriousness - maybe he wants final say on incoming transfers or a guaranteed minimum spend on playing staff in the next few windows??
-
That assumes either would be wanted by other clubs. Both will probably run their contracts down.

Wait a minute, his son is called Rocky?

Some of them are great. The 'Guambat' and the 'Hairy Bush Fruit'

How much would Trippier cost? 20m+? 30m+?

Anyone remember Mark Walters who played for Liverpool? His middle name is Everton

Our (potential) new managers thread derailed into filth in just 8 posts. Thats a record shirley?

That makes sense as theres nowt we can do about Rithie or Fraser until Jan at the earliest.

Howe is an intersting choice. He clearly had problems in his last season in Bournemouth but as said above, he had took the club as far as he could. How many times have we seen a manager reshape an entire playing squad in order to push on, Ferguson did it at Man Utd, Wenger at Arsenal, any more? Its an incredibly difficult thing to do. Obviously Fergy and Wenger were top managers and maybe Howe could have if he'd had similar resources. Or maybe he just wasnt good enough. Time will tell if he comes here.
-
People seem to to forget we are still the same dysfunctional club. Nothing has changed in the slightest apart from the ownership structure. The club is a blank canvas, and its gonna take time bring in the people who can help reshape the club.
-
I may be wrong, but i think its to do with property. So maybe the transfer of 10% (Ruebens share of the consortium) of club property??

I must be the only one who is completely calm about this.

In the grand scheme of things - weve got decades of Saudi ownership to look forward too. Waiting a couple of months for key positions to be filled isnt going to be that difficult. Though obviously the sooner a new manager can get to work with the players the better. Even if we have Jones on board til January, so what? We could very easily buy our way out of trouble. Even if we somehow get relegated this season, so what? Weve got decades of Saudi ownership to look forward too... Im trying to look on the bright side here. But maybe the first appointment should have been a DOF - someone with the knowledge, the contacts, the reputation, someone who can sell the club to new players and the potential new manager.
