exciting! Big fan of Les Mis.Six degrees, Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews. Met her at a book signing at Costco in Seattle. She said she played the Theater Royal when she was a kid.

Rebecca Welch (born in Washington, not sure if she still lives in the area - my brother-in-law is friends with her from former work a couple of years ago in Newcastle) refereed the Columbia - S.Korea game just now.

Surprised on a few things here, The fact he's being sold, the fee involved and that he's going to Saudi, You would think a team in Europe would fancy him.
Doesn't Pulisic to Milan for 20m set a similar ceiling on a Maxi fee?

Will ASM be remembered the same way the likes of Ginola and Laurent Robert are
Or more the the way of Scott Sellars and Ruel Fox ?♂️
Sellars was my favorite player 93-94, though who can forget this the season before after being here about a month:
In some respects, it's a shame Maxi never had the chance.

Not really related, but Talksport so... Dean Saunders sounds alot like that impressionist doing Steve Bruce. First time I heard him it was about 1am UK time and they took about 40 minutes to say who was presenting, and so I seriously thought it was a comedy hour

Bournemouth signings overrated. Kluivert is just a journeyman, living off the name.
It's a sexy name when compared to Steve Claridge.

He's a kid who stayed at home to play with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. I can't fault living the dream and then knowing to get out when it turns out the bright lights were hiding the reality. Could be real growth from him here on out.

As Maddison was to Tonali, maybe Barnes is to Brennan Johnson (given his apparent availability but no public links yet).

What is going on there? Is their credit card statement due to rollover on the 15th and they are waiting to get two months free credit?

If this is the website, click the thing underneath the tweet (to the right, next to the view count) that looks like a tray with an up arrow and then select Copy Link. If it's the app, click the usual share icon (3 circles connected by two lines) and it's in there.

Bit harsh on Carlos. Snapped his Achilles in his home debut. Out pretty much the entire season.
No disparaging his likely quality, but if we had signed Carlos (and so maybe not Botman) and he'd snapped it here, we'd have moved Burn to CB and with Targett out, Dummet would have been rocking up some of the season until an early injury saw Richie (maybe Manq) there. I don't think we'd have finished near fourth.

Looks like it may have somehow fallen through due to personal terms, fuck knows what he was asking for
Maybe he asked for too little, and the whole thing is some Brewster's Millions farce.

Think if he’d waited he’d have had better opportunities. Now it might take a while to get out of West Ham
He waited until the last week of August. Maybe no one else was interested.

Dinnington or Ponteland United? Got to stay in the city for me.
+1. The walkability and public transit is just so good. You don't want nonsense like Brighton.

I wonder if a stadium has ever been built with acoustic engineers consulted and their input given more value than aesthetics.
Most modern stadiums remind me of concept cars, where they look great but are actually a pile of shit on the road.
The Seahawks stadium out here in Seattle was: Why the Seattle Seahawks Stadium Is Loud (businessinsider.com)

AC Milan must be pig sick of us now. Snared Botman last year, rolled up to take their golden boy this year.
Revenge for George Weah, though I don't remember if he was just the Paqueta of the time or if the links were real.

Awful that Bernardo is right in his prime and could pick anywhere in the world.
I don't think I'd even like it if he hates his first month there and moves to us end of August on loan.

I had Talksport on in the car on my way to work yesterday (I know, but I'd rather listen to football shite than baseball or US politics on the radio here), but Agbonlahor was asked what the biggest thing he'd ever got wrong as a pundit, and he admitted that it was saying someone would rather play for Brentford for half the money than play for us. Mine showed it yesterday, but today it is nowhere to be found. Charity Shield and Sunderland games are on.
