  1. How yee. The East Stand was the original big flag stand.
  2. Can build your hoose on this bloke. Solid as a rock, in an understated way, only to at some point realise 'Trippier has been flawless again'. Like during the slight injury concern. My blood runs cold at the thought of it.

Or forward to the 70s in their case
  4. The working title for last seasons season review
  5. Was nervous second half - but really thats just because its us, a howler, referee error, goal from the half way line, I'm paranoid about any illogical misfortune striking us at any moment plus our perilous league situation - so didn't enjoy it until after the third then finally some breathing space, not just this game but this season. Bit of credit to Shelvey if for nothing else than not getting sent off, felt we'd be lucky to get to the hour without that. ASM effervescent and Trippier so understatedly good. Seems ages ago where we wondered if we'd ever get the buzz back. This time last year I couldn't have cared less if we got relegated. Now nerve ridden as f**k until the game is in the back and cant stop smiling after. Very reminiscent of the Boro game in 09, quick response to going behind, dominate second half, miss a few chances, score, then clinch it.

Ah yes, the secada of point scoring. Rears its ugly head from underground where everyone else forgets it exists, and even they avoid the fact, once every generation to briefly be on top of someone only to wilt and die into insignificance after the mating frenzy. Same goes for the secada's.
  7. Just seen the "Newcastle will be world power - Guimaraes" headline flicking the telly on just there. Difficult to articulate my feelings, blood rushed from my head to my loins at the time, but the last 12seconds of this sums up my thoughts on it and is actually what I said, out loud, to nobody.
  8. Most of the last few games a write offs. Didn't need this.
  9. VAR would have a look at that now and ruin the moment
  10. The change of manager to anybody awoken something awful in me about this. Probably make do with a point now and even then its going to be tense torture. To think a year ago all the interest I had was seeing how low our possession stats would be. Halcion days.
  11. Remember it like it was yesterday. Heard about it at lunch and went into school with a spring in my step.. Despite having not been around for Keegan the player or being in Newcastle something in the air changed, the atmosphere around the club. Maybe it was the first time the club had really tried in my time. It was one of those February days where the sun shone and it was quite mild and it felt wrongly like summer was closer than it really was, certainly that the worst of winter was behind us. Upstairs in English big open windows over looking the school, fields and into the distance and various other true melodramatic metaphors. Replicated and nowhere near matched many times since.
  12. "Newcastle is gone. It's a chapter of my football life. I want them to do well under Eddie. In a few years they might think finishing 12th and 13th mightn't have been so bad after all." classless snidy c**t has the edge to boast about this whilst were still trying to scramble out of the s**t he put us in by not winning a single one of his largely winnable nine games this season and leaving us with a literally unfit squad of players. If we go down it'll be largely his fault and I consider that quite bad as it happens Bruce. C*nting c*ntly c**t of a c**t that he is.
  13. Like you said Birmingham was through the play-offs where they finished in the same posistion as they did the previous season (with less points and via a penalty shoot-out). He also relegated the two clubs he got promoted and failed to achieve that at Villa, Huddersfield, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wed and Palace but nevermind. Just read "He had a 27.4% win percentage from 84 league games at Newcastle, the ninth best compared to previous Newcastle managers who had been in charge of at least 20 matches in the Premier League era" - How many do they think we've had that fall into that category? I've only counted 10 including Bruce.

fk me. Bottom of division two to the brink of the premier league title playing some of the best football the league's ever seen, having played for the club and forged a almost unparalleled bond with fans and a family and emotional link to the area is different from 2 1/2 years of mostly bad results in the top-flight with zero affinity to the club/area and didn't even live there.

Hating Newcastle means he's perfect company for people who hate Newcaste down the pub or some echo chamber of circle jerking delusion but what about the management side? Oh where eternal sunshining of the spotless minding things are we Worked part-time, commuted from Cheshire, Bruce did a better job after replacing him, did a s**t job at Ipswich
  16. Yep. Isn't it just like in any walk of work being paid to represent that company if you've got their uniform on, using their platform or on their premises. Sort of thing you pick up on day one is that you don't go around effing and blinding, talking and behaving the way you do with your mates and is part of what you're being paid for. He got sacked for his unprofessionalism and stupidy being pointed out to his employees whilst effectively on their time. You'd at least be reprimanded at most places for the same outside of the internet.

I think he struggles to relate to people and is a borderline psychopath. Bet its like he didn't do s**t at Ipswich.
  18. The media love in continues to astound. Moxley need only look down the road at Villa to see he had the biggest budget that division has seen, failed in his objective, had the fans absolutely despise him and with that budget at Villa in the bottom half of the league. Its literally just down the road and takes more effort to avoid it than to accept
  19. Schar theoretically can be freed up as midfielder now but I feel a bit vulnerable at the back without him (was sterling against Leeds) even in the event of Feddy being and remaining fit. I know Jo's not let us down in the middle but I'd prefer someone like Schar in there with Jo and Bruno than a Shelvey for sure. Need some sort of form from someone else to alternate with Fraser. Willock to recapture some form would be huge too. Its gonna be to close for comfort for the forseeable.

When I seen he went to Queens Park I thought 'fair enough, about his level' - then when I seen Rangers I laughed and thought "Ole Doc Hendrix has pulled off another blinder"

Are they hating on Keith for pointing out the reality of why they're not worth covering or hating on him for stopping them fuming about the mysterious conspiracy theories as to why they're not covered that they were sort of enjoying? or just stupid w*nkers?

Wonder if he noted the distinct lack of interest from any other form of media and if it detracts from the excitement of signing a veteran free-agent. Probably thinks he's got the scoop

Burning the midnight oil with this. Satisfied with any improvement and this is, only satisfied cos we don't know if it'll be enough.
