Next stop after that herculean effort is naturally world domination.

Really like having bench options. Throwing Willock/Tonali into things as well as Barnes and hopefully Wilson to come. Even Almiron would have been useful in the scenario that transpired towards the end of this game. 1-3 down you wouldn't want him breaking on you.

First half wasn't all that bad. Definitely the better team, maybe the better of two ordinary teams, and upped it in the second half and were not just distinctly the better team but good and more reminiscent of previous seasons

tbf I even forget who the second team was (Tottenham too?). Mam taught me that from her day and that was 34year ago now itself

Fair play, away fans singing the old "we hate Nottingham Forest" ditty. Thought that was well dead and buried.

Feels like the sort of game where we'll recieve an innocuous red-card as the cherry on the cake.

Just the couple game changing clear and obvious errors by the referee in an age of video technology forensically looking at things and slowing the game down.

Boos and groans at the end. Its like their default position is toxicity and winning just holds it back temporarily

Not a betting guy but I'd put that on to either curse it from happening or get some consolation if it does.

Gonna be tricky. But kinda like that their good start takes some edge out of it - should be just win however we can, bollocks to the manner of it.

Hall was excellent. Little big things like getting blocks in and his head to crosses on supplementing being generally brilliant is more pronounced in games like that.

still think we've only a very small chance of winning the thing, can't see us beating 3 of the 4 likely semi-finalists (if we get there) but I do like to keep the dream alive as long as possible and hope for a turn up for the books in their games

Same applies to that. They'll still make more from that side of things and can charge more than us in that arms race on account of having more demand for supply by virtue of the gloryhunters/day trippers built up on the success/relative success that we are forbidden of. Don't know what the situation is at West Ham re hospitality etc but they're no better off than they were relative to the teams above them at their new stadium.
