Yeah, for the reasons I mentioned.

That explains the weird layout of the stripes on ours. Big blue stripes it is.

Can something that never started then be over?

He won a few matches tbf to him

Funniest manager character arc there's ever been? Coming in, saying you're really good at what you do, talking a load of management shite, being completely crap, and then getting sacked.
-
Think losing Tindall would be a bit like Clough without Taylor tbh,

I'd say it's the definition of an overspend on a player we already knew we wanted. Panic buy to me has to be a sort of 'quick we need someone!' scenario.
-
It doesn't exactly make it better, but it wasn't a panic buy like. Panic buys aren't players you were after for the entire summer. Of the two Woltemade is much more fitting of a panic buy.

Would love to read or watch something on the phenomena of believing in these sorts of conspiracy theories like. Find it absolutely fascinating that people focus on these far-fetched conspiracies but don't seem to know anything or aren't really all that interested in things that have been proven and are just as interesting and insane, like MK Ultra.

Arsenal vs. Newcastle United: 25/04/26 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)
Kid Icarus replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
I get it tbh. Imagine being onto your 3rd or 4th end of Newcastle 95/96 in a row. One was enough to scar me for life. -
Has there ever been a more obvious outcome than this from Chelsea hiring Rosenior?
-
Least self awareness on the entire forum the thick cunt.

Leicester going down feels like the opposite side of those bargain questions people ask. Would you take going down to League One if it meant winning the Premier League and FA Cup?
-
Not remotely interested in engaging with you, so don't engage with me.

Two of the best managers this league has ever seen dropped the same points % we have in their transition seasons, one of them (the one many deem the best manager around and one of the best of all time) didn't win a match without Rodri from October 2022 to December 2023 when they beat the mighty Luton Town. Meanwhile look at how we'll we did in 23-24 with probably the biggest injury list this club has ever had. Yet the same manager now is struggling with different mitigating circumstances. I just don't think there are any hard and fast rules with these things.
-
I mean almost 50% are in 7 and 8 alone. FWIW I do think the relief was part of it like, but also the perception that we landed on our feet in the end (especially with Woltemade)
-
Are they clearly linked? Yes Has Eddie Howe overperformed in every other circumstance? Yes

Amorim was a weird situation as well, he didn't get sacked because of form, in fact he'd properly turned the ship around by the time he was sacked, IIRC he was sacked because he fell out with the board/claimed he wasn't backed.
-
It's not even necessarily having the say that's the issue, it's who he is and isn't able to get. By all accounts I think we'd agree that a lot of his first choices in the summer were very good choices. Everyone will have their view on what was and wasn't realistic out of those choices, and we've paid the price as we went further down the list - but the evidence is there that with a CEO and DoF in place to do what they're there to do (and which the stand in recruitment team in the summer were so often incapable of doing) those first choices are potentially more realistic. Ideally, if/when those choices are missed again, you have the safety net of having a DoF with a proper strategy that means instead of compromising on quality and suitability but still paying top dollar, you're pivoting to unearthing gems that are a lower financial risk.

Slot staying next season despite them spending an absolute fortune and being 20 odd points down on last season's points total. The Liverpool plastic's replies may as well have been copy and pasted from the replies to those Liam Kennedy tweets.

Ian I think we both already know based on the summer gone that the truth doesn't matter if the shit hits the fan.
