Newcastle United 1-2 AFC Bournemouth: 18/04/26 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Don't listen to that 'har har they're Eddie Howe FC supporters, not Newcastle supporters' nonsense man. Once a manager has provided enough evidence to earn your belief and faith in them - as I think Howe has - that belief and faith means nowt imo if it's the first thing you abandon ahead of everything else, and this season there's a huge pile of 'everything else' -

2+2=5, I'm not okay with it, but I did expect it because of the form and confidence of the two teams at the moment. Tbh I expected 1-3 and Bournemouth to bum us, just because I expected it doesn't mean I'm okay with it, but it also doesn't suddenly mean that the thing I think needs to change before everything else is the manager. -

S-tier patter, truly sublime. My position on Howe is already known and it's firm, I'm not going to suddenly abandon a conviction over a result and performance I expected. -

Sorry, didn't realise I was posting to serve you. -
Nothing has changed for me, I'll spare myself and everyone else and give myself the night off from this thread though.

So much of football is chaos, throwing up surprise results in the most unexpected places. The worst thing about today for me is that all of the form, all of the signs, all of the omens were there - right down to there being one magpie in my back garden this morning - for that result today, and there was no chaos, there were no surprises, it was exactly the performance and result I expected. That second goal is right up there as one of the most pathetic, dry dicked goals I've seen us concede (along with that Spurs one earlier in the season), some of the performances were staggeringly bad, and even when we had decent chances - Burn, Murphy, Tonali - the finishing was woeful. We desperately need this season to end (I know I've been sick of it for months now) and to have a proper reset on the squad. -

Where did I say the fans are to blame? I said it's counterproductive. -

None of it mentions Howe and booing at half time isn't just criticism it's completely counterproductive. At full time, fill your boots, at half time? Nah. -

Funny because moronic comments are all anyone ever expects from you -

Textbook performance from a group of players low on confidence, in poor form, but who are putting the effort in. Thankfully it's been scientifically proven that boos in those circumstances work in all our interests. -
Hopefully

I don't think it's an excuse personally, but I was thinking more selfishly about myself really, I reached saturation point with watching us play football this season about 3 months ago. -

Tbh I just don't think it's fair that there's still football for us to watch this season. What's this? Our 53rd match or something? Too much man, too much. -
We could if we got into Europe as well, we'd just pay a UEFA fine.
-
Yeah, as you say we've basically had very few saleable assets for the most part so have had to spend. My bone to pick with the way that's phrased is mainly just that it's not net and it ignores all of the rewards we've reaped prior to currently being 14th in the league.
-
This seems to be the latest sleight of hand, choosing the gross spend over his entire time here and then handpicking the current league position. Then acting incredulous when people see what you're trying to do.

Ah canny! Aye, I did a couple of shifts with her surveying the bats there like, proper surreal experience.

My lass used to do bat surveys, not sure they add on that much time like. I think the Spanish City refurb was delayed by 6 months because of them?

The Villa one was a standard Newcastle Villa match over the last few years for me, where we take turns in kicking the shit out of each other. The only disappointing one for me was the Everton match, similar to the Leicester match in 22/23 it seemed like we thought we'd already got the job done and crawled over the finish line.
