Agreed. Especially in the case of Man United, there’s a massive amount of lazy scouting that’s gone on. Big names on big wages that have been expected to perform straight away - it just doesn’t work like that. That’s a big shout for a team that’s only added Cunha and looks likely to lose a player like Garnacho. The average team needs three transfer windows to rebuild their side, with your showing last year id say four is more realistic. The defence and goalkeeping positions will need absolutely gutting if you’ve got a hope of top 8. Scalvini, Elanga, Trafford and DCL is a pretty decent window. There’s no way on earth DCL can be any slower than Wilson currently and he’s still a still an aerial threat. That being said - I’d be just as happy giving Osula the minutes instead to see where his ceiling is. He looked tasty last year.

Think he was close with Rafa at that time. Not sure he’s had the same relationship with subsequent managers.
