Great to get the 3 points, but that was a shit show.

What I notice is that some of the players arent listening to the instructions from Howe. Ie. Often this season you can see Howe screaming to Gordon and try to get him to track back but he looks like not responding. Gordon has been one of our best players this season, imo before xmas he was tracking more back. The way Howe wants us to play(like we played last season) everyone has to be on board and work for each other, is he starting to loose some players? I cant see Bruno and Isak wanting to stay if we in the future play like we have done for most of this season.

    Boring.

That City documentary isn't half a load of manicured shite, but fuck me it isn't half humbling. We've got a fucking long way to go - especially in terms of improvement of facilities and coaching staff - before we can get close to that.

Hope the immoral murdering cunts that own us are more financially committed  than the immoral murdering cunts that own them!

What was the midweek home game under Pardew when we were winning and coasting until he had the bright idea of substituting our two best players on the night and we lost as a result?

Sounds a bit like Reading but that wasn’t a night game

He said that quite a few “tourist” Man U fans bought tickets in the City end thinking it would be fine (which is weird as their away end was empty) - and it might have been…..until they stood up cheering when United scored!!

Have no time at all for the mythologising of Man Utd’s away support, and maybe I’m missing something like a simpleton, but I have no doubt that their section was full on Sunday.

I don’t sit near the corner, so I can’t comment on that specifically, but whenever I’ve heard that song sung elsewhere (mainly away), it’s always with the use of “c*nts” rather than “p*ffs”?

    Definitely the latter yesterday.

  6. Another request to bin the homophobic Sunderland chant in the corner please. It makes the singers sound like boomer wankers and is embarrassing. Don’t mind the ex-player stuff.

Bloke next to me at 30 mins went to get a burger and then returned 5 mins later complaining about the £11 price (which I do agree with), the guy is a ST holder as well if seems.

The mind boggles with quite a bit of fans I have to say.

It doesn’t cost eleven quid for a burger though.

Why do you suspect the project will be downsized?

They have been here for two years at this point. Despite the welcome investment,  nothing else appears to be materialising in the way of actual plans. No training ground, for example. We just don’t seem high up the list of priorities for PIF who, every time I check, have added another sporting venture to their portfolio.  And now, if the rumours are true, a half arsed appointment to fill the role previously held by the top man at it

Being able to mimic a set up is fine....until it goes wrong and you don't really understand how to fix it.

Nickson might by highly rated as a scout but let's be genuinely honest here making him sporting director makes about as much sense as Ashley putting McLaren on the board of directors.

And it's not exactly like his scouting has been particularly clever or innovative

Suspect the whole ‘project’ is on the brink of being downsized to be honest. Which is a shit state of affairs given the fact that the only upside to being owned by cunts was the on pitch success that would follow.

It would have swung back our way if we'd won. What's worse, against forest away ferdinand crashed a header against the bar just before woan scored

If we had beaten Forest, we would have still needed Boro to get something on the Sunday wouldn’t we? That was never happening

Round the keeper and an open goal three times and missed all three. awful finishing. Game should have been dead and buried numerous times.

Good wee side Luton. You can see how they've managed to put 4 past some teams this season.

    You are boring.

Just 'watch this space' for the very first real evidence of our hugely wealthy owners spending M A S S I V E amounts on our club as SJP is extended and transformed.

Is this based on inside knowledge?

  13. I don’t get the impression there is any intention to move from SJP on the club’s part and I’m confused why so many seem convinced otherwise. They’ve been here for two years and a bit at this point and-unless I’ve missed something- not a peep about a new stadium.

David F Batty, man of mystery.

My favourite Batty story is that he was spotted helping his dad and his mates at work the day after his England debut - his dad was a bin man.  Just a ludicrously normal bloke who was gifted at football.

I also loved his stoic reaction to missing the vital penalty vs Argentina.  No ludicrous self-absorbed tears - just a shrug and ‘I’ve never taken one before’ in the interview afterwards.  And waving to his kids back home through the camera during the national anthem, instead of screaming it like a rugby wanker a la Tony Adams.  The man don’t give a fuck.

Remember hearing from somebody in the dressing room (on one of those podcasts) that after the game, Beckham was disconsolate and the rest of the team were huddled around him.

Meanwhile, Batty had a shower, got his bag round his shoulder and announced, ‘Right, I’m off to the bus lads’
