Apparently UEFA are blaming the TV deal in place to broadcast the semi's and final.
-
It reads like they would have to pay it to the Super League, which is now gone so everyone pays nowt.

Hopefully cheaper tickets, tv subscriptions, invest in communities, the problem I have with the current model is that the clubs are not generating enough money to pay the current wages and agent fees, its obviously a pipe dream but if this week has shown anything its that the current owners are not particularly bright.

I can't understand why all European clubs have not had a meeting and introduced it between themselves, have a max wage £150k say and then a bonus system for trophy's and league position, I don't think it would take much to sort, probably just let the current legacy contracts run out first to avoid issues, didn't baseball do something along those lines a few years ago ?

What about a proper Northern league with Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbro and Leeds joining the Scottish league ?
-
I never thought of that but it would be glorious if 2 of the spots were taken by Leicester and West Ham if an English team wins the UEFA cup do we have 5 teams in the Champions League?
-
I always liked the idea of a UK cup to replace the League cup, obviously the English teams would clean up but it would spit out some interesting fixtures and it will give everyone an idea what level the teams are at.

He wont say much, he wouldn't want to burn his bridges in case he works for one of the top 6 one d..a.........................I can't seriously write that (pull yourself together Ben)

Teams like Burnley are exactly what the big 6 and people like Rio Ferdinand want, cannon fodder, teams that just exist to exist, making up the numbers.
-
By the sounds of it the 14 clubs are just happy to have them back, I don't think they will get much of a punishment other than a token gesture to ban members of the super6 joining obscure premier league committees

If I was him I would just pack in, he could probably earn more and have a better standard of life fitting rubber seals on the line at Nissan

Roy Hodgson spoke very well today about this, just like a wise bloke that's been in football for over 200 years should I suppose, but it was nice to listen to someone sensible.

If that was true he would have resigned before Sundays announcement
