I've always liked goalkeepers who can play. I think it's a really undervalued attribute for a keeper to have and Shay didn't have it. He was terrible at kicking and a total flapper when a centre forward closed him down on the back pass. Mind you, he had some big boots to fill because Pav was top notch in that department.

Gary Speed wasn't very good. Brilliant bloke, brilliant professional attitude, excellent in the air. Crap at passing, second touch was a header. Shay Given was average. Shortest 6'0 man I've ever seen. Couldn't take crosses, atrocious at kicking, would shit his pants on the back pass, didn't communicate very well, didn't command his area. Decent shot stopper but still way over rated.

How can this be proven? I ask honestly as I know nothing about legal arbitration etc. Isn't it almost like a jury where both sides will present their arguments then these 3 selected people will rule on it. But like a juror who could be a closet racist sending an innocent black man to jail for example. Can't really be proven without evidence against them, and whatever we have we obviously used in this case to have him removed and failed. To me, it says these guys pride themselves on being whiter than white and will make a decision based solely on the evidence presented to them. No one that high up prides themself on honesty. Everyone involved - buyers, sellers, judges, PL - is as dodgy as a nine bob note.

I'd like to know, from someone actually versed in law, if this attempt to remove the Chairman fella is common practice and what the ramifications of the attempt might be. Despite what some people think of Keith, I still think he's a reliable source. He's never made a concrete statement that was verifiable bollocks and pretty much everything he's said lines up with what Caulkin and Jacobs have been saying, other than his odd little spat with the former. Keith is super optimistic, which isn't to everyone's taste, but everything he says is pretty much prefaced with "I expect" or "hopefully", so you'd be a fool to take his predictions as gospel anyway. I doubt he's on the blower to Amanda every day but I think he does get titbits of info that the rest of us aren't privy to. If the takeover doesn't happen his current image as that weird twitter bloke with "liftin' patter" will be preserved. If it all goes through though, everyone will look back with fondness and he'll be remembered as plucky Keith Pattison, the man who distracted Richard Masters while Nick De Marco hoofed him in the bollocks.
