He's shocking. I would rather play Hayden right back and stick Anderson in the middle. -

He has the physicality of a magician’s assistant. -
That reads like he doesnt have a lot of confidence in it going through if it does go to arbitration. That's the way it reads to me as well. As I wrote a few pages back, I don't think the deal is really in Nick De Marco's nice safe whole grain hands. Arbitration hasn't started yet because we might lose - probably because it's bloody obvious, and has always been obvious, that PIF and KSA are the same thing. Fortunately, I don't believe the PL could give a mackem's gooch about separation, Kashoggi or anything related to morality. They care about money. The takeover is riding on Saudi-Qatar relations and solving the piracy issue.

I can’t speak for manorpark but mine is based on everything i read and understand about the whole situation, and the odd bit of 2nd and 3rd hand info I get from time to time.

Arsehole indeed. I wish he'd stuck in at the boxing so after we'd seen him defeat Steve Cram and Keith Lemon in some daft celebrity carry on we could've watched him get battered by the shittest Fury brother.

Whitley mag[/member] manorpark[/member] You speak with such unshakeable confidence in every post. I ask sincerely, are you close to Keith or are you privy to titbits of information that aren't public or something? I'm one of the more optimistic people on here but I never speak with the same certainty that you do.

An absolute bellend and a liar. Used to give out TV's etc as rewards to players when manager at Doncaster. I presume we've all seen the footage of him in the police station when he got done for drink driving. I've played football with Jill Scott before. I reckon I was better than her. Annoying to think I could've played at the top level if I wasn't saddled with a cock and bollocks, increased muscle mass and bone density.

Oh dear Excellent she can concentrate on the takeover now. Full steam ahead !! What you laughing for? She's going to be like a scorned Batman villain, bitter at her lot in life and ready to avenge the world with her evil financiers.

Yeah, he's a strong contender for #1. He's one of those blokes that's just wrong almost 100% of the time. On top of that he's a smug unfunny cnut. If Shearer hadn't made him look good for two seasons he'd be doing celebrity sack waxing with Paul Dickov and Dean Holdsworth.

They're a motley crew of failed managers, pig-headed buffoons, gobshites and arseholes. I hate 95% of them. The best pundits are the managers who've won everything but they rarely end up in TV studios. After them it's Roy Keane. The bloke is straight down the line and doesn't lick his mates' hoops like the rest of them. Edit: I prefer to watch games with some other sound on. Commentators do my nut in as well.

This was my take, solving the BeIn piracy opens the doors and linking MBS was the easy excuse that they would have swept under the carpet. I guess a concern now is that with these new findings, backtracking/glossing over that link is not as easy. Are there really new findings? I think everyone knows and always has known that PIF and KSA are the same thing. Everybody also knows they're as dodgy as a BBC 70s reunion do. I'm sure De Marco has a role to play but ultimately money is going to make or break the deal, not a legal technicality.

Here's my heathenistic take: The separation issue was used as the reason to halt the takeover but it's not the reason why it was halted. It wasn't passed because Qatar, Liverpool and Tottenham didn't want it to be. The PL couldn't give a wet fart about the legitimacy of these owners or any others, not least so when there's this much money involved. If the Bein boxes get the green light, which everyone seems to think will happen, then Qatar will stand aside. Do Liverpool & friends have the influence to block a deal that has Qatar, the Saudis and mega TV money all wrapped up together with a bow on top? I don't know. Maybe they do. I'm still optimistic. Get the straitjacket.

3-0 Wolves. Encouraging signs in the last half hour. 500 games. Quietly confident. Dust. -
Does Mike even know where we are in the league? Can he remember who Steve Bruce is? He probably says to Charnley at the start of the season, "Get a couple of new wheelie bins in so the lads can get a bath, go easy on the ink cartridges and for faak sake don't call me unless we're in the bottom three with eight games to go."
-
Then why do people keep saying this in the first place? News by Christmas, positive developments in January, should hear positive news at the end of February/start of March, now no wait, it wont be until Summer. Im sure folk coming out with this have the best of intentions, whether thats ITKs or journalists, but its hardly surprising when these dates sail by with barely a mention of any news people start calling bullshit. I'm sure everyone by this point fully appreciates how complex and drawn out these things are like. I suppose it depends who you listen to but I'd advise against putting too much stock in HTT's running "Friday 3pm" joke or anything random Twitter ITKs say. Following what Keith, George and Ben Jacobs say though - who seem to be able to eke out little bits of truth between them - I've never really felt there have been big promises of something definitely happening in a week's time. As far as I can tell, we'll be going to arbitration if they can't get it sorted without the need to, and the the radio silence at the minute probably means they're cracking on with one of those things. It might not happen but there are some big fish who think it will and that's enough to give me hope. If it doesn't happen just get into gardening or chess or something instead.

I don't understand the pants-shitting negativity with this deal. People keep saying, "Oh yeah, next month, next month...", as if we're being lied to. It's a super complicated legal and political case and setbacks happen. The people involved aren't p*ss-takers. Until we've lost the arbiration case or we're told that fatboy and Amanda have given up, then stop being such a fanny. Clearly, there is a possibility of this happening.
-
 There's people here who'll never concede that the takeover has failed. We'll be sat here posting in decades time and they'll still be all "Announcement on Friday. Mark my words." Who've you been talking to? De Marco or Shaheed?
-
If it so happens that relegation means the takeover cannot happen then Steve ought to be remembered as one of the worst human beings to ever come from the region. His current greed, and subsequent refusal to step down, will deprive the city and its people of a hundred years of happiness. They should erect a statue of him in toon but make it with a cushioned bollocks area so our kids and their kids can run up and boot him for generations to come.

Was that offered separately to the Pardew 8 year deal?

Are there no out of contract hasbeens that we could bring in for 2 months? I’d rather play Crouchy than Big Jow. Just for a bit more movement.
