  1. Realise I'm just repeating myself but feel so strongly about people needing to remember just how f***ing evil and damaging Pardew was. There honestly wouldn't even be a Bruce if it weren't for Pardew.

Bruce is absolutely horrendous - seriously seriously awful and I loathe the fact he represents the thing I love more than just about anything - but Pards, man, Pards...

    Really?

MA has shown way before Pardew, he’ll appoint idiot after idiot after idiot.

  2. After watching all the 4-4 videos today, I think I hate Bruce now more than Pardew

We had a few highs under Pardew. Obviously there's the 4-4, the 5th place finish, the Europa League run, quite a few surprising one off wins, beating Man Utd at Old Trafford for the first time in 41 years, but with Bruce there's nowt. It's just been an absolute shitfest, and amazingly it's getting worse.

The only slight positive for Bruce v Pardew is that we haven’t been spanked as many times as we were under Pardew. Under Bruce we’re so dogshit awful we often pull teams down to our level.

  3. For a club who pay next to fuck all, we always seem to have a huge number of shit players on wages “they’ll never earn elsewhere”. Especially when they’ve been signed to be first team players rather than youth who fail to hit the mark.

Saivet, Lazaar, Colback, Elliot, Anita all come to mind.

  4. Not saying much, but I'd say that Bruce would have done a better job with that squad than McLaren. Wouldn't have had us going down.

Total crime that we went down with that squad.

That team would’ve almost certainly gone down. If McLaren couldn’t have their respect, this chump would have no chance. At least McLaren made some sort of sense.

  5. VAR just doesn’t bring enough positives compared to the disruption it causes:

    - We now have countless pauses while the most ridiculous decisions are reviewed.

    - Some decisions aren’t even looked at when they should be (one in our game recently).

    - We still have at least one major talking point every gameweek where a decision is wrong. Sometimes even 3 or 4.

    - Maybe a very slight reduction in diving. But it still happens. Players have also got wise to ‘contact = penalty’ and now dive in a different way by initiating their own contact.

    - The offside and handball rules have become complete farces.

    - Rules (and the agreed interpretation) are being continuously changed.

    - Goal celebrations are almost manufactured now. When I have a bet on, for example, I don’t properly enjoy the goal until I’ve seen the match restart.

Nearly every football fan could see each and everyone one of those issues before it was even implemented. Yet the still forced it through.

I don’t know if it’s because of my lack of passion for NUFC at the moment due to MA/Bruce, but my enjoyment for football as a whole has dwindled recently. This is probably one of the factors in it.

  6. Jacobs completely contradicting Kennedy then, stating arbitration has started.

Don’t think it’s that simple. I think Jacobs is meaning all the prep and choosing of the panel is part of arbitration where as I think Kennedy is meaning the actual hearing

So In a sense they are both right

Possibly. But why not just say that?

Kennedy leaves everything far too open for interpretation, whereas Jacobs is always very clear and to the point.

That’s because Kennedy is drip fed tiny bits of info without having any real knowledge whereas Jacobs has been pretty much spot on with his info since the beginning.

  8. I mean... Leicester were 14 points clear of Man Utd at this stage last season and finished below them.

With Fulham’s games in hand, we could only be 2 points from the drop.

We’re 20th in the form table over the last 10 games. Sheff Utd have gained 5 points on us, Fulham 2 (with 2 games in hand), and WBA a point.

Sheff Utd have played into a bit of form, they’re only 11 behind us now and we still have to play them again. Fulham have drawn 7 of their last 9, which is not the losing run we need them to be on.

If Fulham win tonight, I’d be around an 8. If they lose, that’d probably settle to a 6.

I won’t be confident of finishing above the dotted line until we do.

  9. fulham will beat leicester too tomorrow..  bringing the gap down to 5 with them having a game in hand, guaranteeed

    Fulham’s next 5 games:

Leicester (h), West Ham (h), Everton (a), Sheff Utd (h), Crystal Palace (a)

It’s not inconceivable they’ll win 3 of those.

  10. Doing nothing is just as good as spending £40k of your personal money and taking a year out from your job? Heard it all now. Reminds me of some of the excuses for not boycotting one game

£40k to one man can be the equivalent of 20p to another. Not everyone has money/time to throw around speculatively.

Who’s to say his rancid Twitter posts and ramblings to the PL aren’t actually causing harm? In that case, doing nothing is just as good.

Your opinion on what is ‘better’ is simply that, an opinion. Every supporter of the club is entitled to their own which is why I think the dick measuring is pathetic.

Yes but there is dick measuring and not even having a dick to measure

My girlfriend has told me for years that size doesn’t matter.
