I completely agree with Joeyt and you as well. It couldn't have been too hard to embrace something new after Cabbage Head. That said, this seems to go WAY beyond just that. Newcastle have gotten virtually no revenue from player sales due to the previous idiot. I'm pretty sure Newcastle's situation with FFP isn't dire. Nor is it unlimited. Need to line up a huge deal end of this year. Ashworth is already working on getting players that can be developed and sold for big profits.

They actually made money in transfers last year. I don't think it was a huge bill in 2020 either. I don't know how they stand with FFP with sponsorships and player amortization but if they were warned, I guess it's close.
