This man is something else, we just look so solid. As has been mentioned already, if other people could finish (which he has no control over) then he could have had 3/4 assists. So I would say although his performance was below usual, it was still good, and he created enough for us to win the game.

If I remember the Alvarez links were quite strong in the summer, then Chelsea came along. If they sign Enzo, can’t seem them going for Alvarez also. Could be one to watch.

I thought he played well again too, however I think teams are starting to clock on to the fact that he will always try to cut inside on his left. If he could try and develop some use of his right foot it would give him another edge.

Just come here to say this. the sky sports highlights shows 8 chances for us, 6 of which are from Trippier free kicks/corners. so whilst it is true that some of his deliveries were poor, he’s the last person we should be digging out. Could easily have had a hat trick of assists.

I love his distribution aswell, as soon as he has the ball in his hands he releases it. One of my main gripes with Dubravka was that he used to hold the ball for an eternity and kill any chance of a break.
