I agree with this. 2 years left on his deal with no concrete indication he will sign a new one. Anything from £45 million to £50 million max is fair value in my eyes. That’s not to say I wouldn’t pay slightly over the odds to get him, but I certainly wouldn’t be having a go at the club if they choose not to.

Maybe we could get Gallagher on a loan with obligation? Possibly CM would be a position we would look to fill next summer so if we can get the player now and pay next year it could work. Would also allow to still sign Ramos (alledgedly) and possibly another winger, either permanent or loan

Gallagher is a very good player and has a high ceiling, also has attributes that would fit our style well. Would fancy him to improve massively over time under Howe. A midfield 3 of Bruno, Gallagher and Joelinton is up there as one of the best midfields in the league IMO

Now he’s being asked to pass more I think he would be more beneficial on the right with Almiron on the left. Almiron has no right foot so if they switched we could see a lot more crosses into the box. however we play with Trippier going forward so I guess it wouldn’t work with maxi on that side.
