Longstaff out and Gallagher in would be one of the best upgrades we could make. Add to that he can play atleast three positions. Don't see why Atleti would want him to leave though.

Similar price as Palace are reportedly wanting for Guehi, £45M +add-ons. Guehi is 3 years older but arguably the safer option. I know most would prefer Scalvini and I tend to agree but there's just something that seems a bit off about it.

Ekitike to Liverpool does make a lot of sense but I wouldn't be shocked to see this Romano "exclusive" is just the usual agents bollocks trying to get clubs bidding for him.

It is weird but at the same time there's obviously an issue and perhaps the gap in valuation is bigger than we all think. If it's £10M then its not inconceivable that could be the difference in us only being able to sign four players instead of five this summer. I guess the only leverage we have is that we aren't in any rush to get this done, we've got Pope and Dubravka to go into the new season (however annoyed I would be if that did happen) there's no urgency in this deal for us, we can wait Burnley out and come to an agreement before the first game of the season. Traffords price is only going to go down once the season kicks off because if he starts for them they'll be conceding goal after goal every week and if it gets to January and he's still there and Burnley are adrift at the bottom, his price will have plummeted.
