Alot of people just seem to be assuming £55M is a done deal now. I wouldn't be shocked to see it get rejected.
-
It'll be a shame to see him sign for Chelsea on Monday morning.
-
I really don't want to be frustrated by another transfer window. It's difficult to believe that anyone at the club believes that three signings would be enough. Especially considering we've bid for three players already, so you'd have to assume thats the absolute minimum we'd WANT to bring in before pre season starts and then another couple as and when we can get deals done.
-
Oh dear. The only way they can get any positive feedback from giving him ajother contract is to announce it at the bottom of the final paragraph where they announce a Trafford, Elanga and Balerdi triple signing.
-
If those are the ONLY two then that's an truly awful window. If they are two of five then it's decent.
-
I'm going to assume Howe and the rest of them knew Pedro was a no go once Chelsea came in which is why they "apparently" turned to Simon's instead. Would make sense, we'd never go for both of them.
-
He's been excellent during this tournament, not a surprise really though, he's been underrated this whole season. I'm really looking forward to seeing him get a full season at RB with a new RW ahead of him and potentially a new CB beside him. What did surprise me was his really poor goal and assists record. Specifically assists though, I know goals is not what his games about (good job it's not). But he does need to start improving his assist number this coming season. 93 senior club appearances and 2 assists is something to work on.

All the football? All the time?
-
I'm convinced people only want Xavi Simons because he's got a cool name.
-
Pretty much done he says, but I bet we hear nothing official for another week yet.
-
If we've bid £50M for him and Brighton "want closer to £60M" that sounds fairly reasonable. You'd hope that the difference of £6/7M could be negotiated pretty easily over the next week or so.
-
A sign that Wilson probably isn't staying as well.
-
Players have teams that deal with all this stuff. They'll know what he wants and if he wants to move (seemingly he does). So it doesn't matter if he's on holiday. We won't be getting anywhere close to actually signing him until we get into July anyway.
-
£45M was the first bid that was rejected. Don't think it's been confirmed if we've gone back with another yet.
-
I get that and I'm all for Trafford 100%. I just think it rarely works out very well when you have two keepers thinking they should be number one and competing throughout a season. Pope is absolutely the keeper I would prefer to see stay and help Trafford progress but he'll want to be playing 40 games this season and so will Trafford. It's going to be tricky to keep them both happy.
-
Personally I think it's kind of crazy. Especially if we're spending £30M+ on him. I think Pope is obviously the best guy for him to learn from but also, that's a lot of money for a bench warming keeper.
-
I wonder how quickly we'll find out whether this means the end of Pope or not. Doubt we'd get an answer from any official club output, ie, I don't see them asking Trafford if he's here to be number one or anything as pointed as that. Two of the current keepers need to leave really. Obviously won't be Gillespie since he's signed a new deal this summer. So one of Vlach, Dubs and Pope needs to leave along with Ruddy (if he doesn't re-sign)
-
It's not great but it's the best of all the new kits. I'm not going to bother with any of them this season, will get some Adidas Originals stuff whenever we bring that out though.
-
Am I wrong in thinking that we'd actually agreed terms with him last summer but put the move on hold for one reason or another. We best actually fucking sign him this time.
-
Awful goal to concede. Trafford wouldn't have let that in 👀
-
Utterly ridiculous yellow card that. Gives that for the reaction from the player more than anything else.
-
Forest don't want to sell but that doesn't mean Elanga doesn't want to leave.
-
The most injury prone 21 year old in world football. Obviously we want him 😂
