  1. I actually think it might be the other two way round. Neither Wharton or Kamara are particularly diligent defensively. Think they might get caught out.
  2. Villa getting into UCL from the position they were in would've been highly impressive if it weren't for the fact that Spurs and Man U are the games that will get them there. Lucky as fuck.
  3. I reckon Nuno is completely out of the running now. They needed to finish top 5 or even top 3 for him to get it over Slot IMO. Howe only has any chance of getting it if we finish second, otherwise it'll be Slot.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I'm surprised we haven't had a Joan Garcia thread created yet.

I'd hate Man Utd to win it. But I don't particularly want Ange "I always win something in my second season" Postecoglu to win it either. But overall I'd prefer Spurs to be in the UCL next season though as I'd be happy for us to play them rather than Man Utd if we came to that. Plus they've not won anything in a little while and Man Utd are jammy cunts who win when the least deserve to.
  6. Said this to a mate that supports Man Utd and he immediately agreed. Villa and Chelsea playing any one of the relegated clubs this evening would've been a tougher test for them.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I vaguely remember something being mentioned around the cup final saying that Isak was waiting to see what the club do/who they sign this summer before committing to another contract. Wouldn't be surprised if that's nonsense, but it does make sense. Same could go for Bruno, Botman, Tonali, Gordon, Tino and Hall. We really do need to get some of these players tied down to longer contracts this summer alongside actually signing new players. If nothing else it helps to spread the load financially.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Howe being rather bullish in the press conference about this transfer window. Think it's the first season he's spoken so openly about having money to spend/PSR not being an issue with spending power. I'm not against it as it does create a bit of buzz and shows some commitment to moving upwards. But it does bring up the whole issue of why Howe has always kept these things on the quiet, we don't want other clubs whacking the prices up when they know we have the money.
  9. Both of them are fantastic. The top one obviously being a bit brighter looks better on the eye, especially with the seahorse tails standing out more. I'd be happy to move away from the banner at the bottom being blue, not sure it suits the rest of the crest. Albeit it does make it look far more historically accurate.
  10. The current crest has quality and finesse, it just has to much finesse, too much detail crammed into small objects. If you start adding more and more into these designs it's going to become pointless changing it.
  11. Genuinely the best one I've seen so far. Change the section at the bottom of the flagpole into a proper castle tower and it would be perfect.
  12. Good news about Botman then. Howe clearly wants him in for the back 3 against Arsenal. Shame about Joelinton but as long as he's back fit for pre season that's the main thing

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I think we'll need two of them if we want to have a season anywhere near as good as this one. One at CB and one at RW.
  14. If the Premier League Manager of the season is purely based on the league wtf is even the point of it, because you could argue that it should always go to the manager that wins the league. There has to be thought given to other competitions and situations the team has been through. Because genuinely if it's only the league then the league winning manager should get it every year.
  15. So maybe now all those people losing their heads on Twitter about how the club is selling its soul by changing the badge can quieten down now. It seems clear they are going to be updating/modernising the current badge rather than a drastic change to an entirely new badge.
  16. He's free in the summer. I would absolutely get him in, no brainer seeing as he can cover boths sides and has a good amount of experience in Premier League. Schick is a decent shout but I get the feeling he'd cost more than £20M given the season he's having and I think there's better options around who are younger. Wouldn't be disappointed at all to see him here though. Don't want anything to do with Jobe, let him go to Spurs and struggle to adapt to the Premier League there, he's some way off being ready for it.
  17. I can only see Forest beating Chelsea if they've got the win against West Ham.

Am I the only one thinking Eze wouldn't really fit in here? Nothing to do with where he plays or his style just that I don't feel he's radgie enough. Every time I see him score he's just stood there doing nothing.
  19. Having lost Anderson because of this bollocks last season would be nice to be able to reap the benefits of it this season. Swings and roundabouts ayy.
  20. Realistically considering how bad Bristol City have been and how often that team that finishes in that position actually manages to get promoted. How about scrapping the play offs and making whoever finishes 3rd in the championship have a two legged game against whoever finishes 18th in the Premier League. Would be interesting to see how often the Championship team in 3rd is better than the Prem team in 18th.
  21. Our Kryptonite does certainly seem to be any teams between 8th and 12th.

Trafford is a no brainer for me. Should have got him last summer but IMO we can't afford to miss out on him. Pope is fine and maybe he could go another season as first choice but I think we'd hugely regret not getting Trafford while we can. He'll be the best keeper in the Premier League in two/three years time.
  23. I hope its not that. Equal parts boring and ugly.
  24. The whole diving thing is thrown at attackers/ the attacking team so often, but actually the most blatant dives are often committed in defensive situations by the defending team, they just never get looked at with th same scrutiny because they don't result in a goal or chance. They are just as bad though, it's still cheating and those players are still conning the officials by diving. Refs need to wise up to it as it's becoming more and more common and incredibly tedious.
  25. And that would've been the exact right time to buy him, not now. Just like Gordon he was at the very bottom of his upward curve then and he's pretty much at his peak now. He's not going to be worth what nowhere near what anyone pays for him now in two years. It's why everyone wants Mbeumo, he will absolutely be worth the same if not more in two years time. Plus he's been on a steady upward climb for two seasons now and is just about to peak over the next couple of years.
