I dont believe a second that Howe changes his system.
-
Because 120m is most of our budget, and we need more than 2.
-
It's not apathy, but is the price. He is not a top4 level player and will cost us a fortune.
-
yes, buying 2 and selling Gordon (most likely) doesn't move us forward. I would say Pedro is not good enough to be #9 after Isak leaves either.
-
True, but just that we have pretty much no one to sell soon enough, and I wouldn't like us to handcuff ourselves with these to players. They are good players but not top4.
-
Pedro and Elanga. Two players we end up overpaying and with PSR problems in a year or 2.
-
Howe cannot teach him football brain
-
"There is not a lot of headroom" Story of our last 3 transfer windows.
-
It is, because we can pay 200 000 for Isak, but not for Mbeumo.
-
Losing Schär means we lose a lot of ability with the ball. Replacing him with a left footer is massive loss.
-
Even if Mbeumo asks 200 000 and not 250k, it is way more than NUFC can pay, so money talks.
-
Naah, you said that Capology didn't factor in the "well documented UCL-clause" when, actually, you aren't even sure how that clause works man.
-
Main change from Klopp to Slot is more control yes, but that isn't just down to formation change.
-
4-2-3-1 pretty much turns in to 4-5-1 when we are defending. Exactly like 4-3-3. Then again if we play with 2 clear defensive midfielders, that leaves Pedro and Isak quite isolated. Bruno doesn't have the legs to run along quick counters, so that would be left to Tonali. Who already is everywhere... Our wide players should come in to challenge for the 2nd ball if we have to go long.
-
That would be moronic change, yes. Pedro could perhaps also play as wideman in our front 3, but I highly doubt that and we have players for that space already. I think this rumour is a non starter, for many reasons.
-
I really don't think the formation, especially if it is 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 really matters at all how much you do running. It is the instructions that you give to those players. Villa have played seriously high line and our midfield 5 is usually in a flat line. When the opponent manages to play past it, our 3 has to do a lot of running. And because we press high, we run a lot. A lot of duels and lot of interceptions means we have less long possessions and less slow attacking, but it also masks our lack of technical ability up front. These are choices. If we want to keep the ball longer, we need to partner Schär with another ball playing defender and replace Pope.

Quite a funny but amateurish mistake by Finnish FA couple days ago, when they tried to add new player to womens Nations League squad in place of an injured one, but somehow managed to add 51-year-old that played few NT games in the 90s (same last name, totally different first name). Because of that, they of course couldn't name the player they were trying to add. YLE (our BBC) interviewed the ex-player and said she was never interviewed during her time in the National team or playing football, but once some newspaper had a picture of her after some game, and name was spelled wrong she said she asked if she can now join the bench, but it was more of a joke I guess.

And again, like I said before, you dont have exact info about wages either.
-
I think we are not getting Joao Pedro, and definitely not Barcola.
-
Yea, but when you have workers on low wages and trying to negotiate Cunha's payments to 4-5 payments instead of 3, that means you have cash problem. PSR/FFP problems are solved in a different way.
-
Your problem is cash, not PSR if people are losing their jobs. edit. Bruno is not going to saudi it seems.
-
Most likely 200k is way more than we can afford. The thing is that it would make him Newcastle's top earner and automatically other players would be asking more. When you have Rashford and Casemiro on 300k a week, 200 isn't that bad for wage budget.
-
Now wait a minute Froggy, you are also better than this "Newcastle eyebrows were raised when the forward's representatives told those who made enquiries that he wanted to more than quadruple his £45,000 per week wages at Brentford." Cunha is something like 200 000k/week? Mbeumo will be pretty much the same of course.
