They are really showing how to break when we lose the ball. That really is different quality to us, sadly.
-
City has been mediocre without Rodri too.
-
Might not be popular opinion, but I kind of want them to come up so we can beat them. Boring now that they are in bottom league. And yea let them rot and all that..

To get Top4 will be huge ask this season. But we are not doing too badly. Sadly Spurs and Liverpool are doing much better this season. ManU on the other is not as good. Top6 would be great. I think we just need to turn the draws from last year to wins. Lost points to Palace, Bournemouthx2, Leedsx2...

Why on earth we would buy a left back in front of Hall now? Surely he will take over from Burn and Targett in 1-2 years time. We need CB, or maybe soon 2. And a right winger.

He was brilliant, played Isak through once and created the first chance for him. Always looking to make things happen.

If it is not, why these wrong decisions haven't been changed. I always thought when the game is resumed the decision is final.
-
Jota fouled once already before that, where he could have easily gotten a yellow. Regarding the wrong offside call: the refs cannot do anything if the play has resumed.

Casemiro got sent off for exactly the same thing vs Southampton. Foot rolls over the ball, studs first and contact above ankle. It's a red.

Clean sheet with Lascelles-Dummett as centrebacks
-
We are so poor in possession it's laughable.

Cannot see anyone paying 100 million for him anyway, don't get why people are worried about release clause like that.
-
Rodri missing game against us then. And against Arsenal
-
True. And people need to be realistic with their expectations. We are not world class, or nowhere near yet. And we don't need to be.

I think it is unfair to say people should be happy at draw and shut up. Draw is a brilliant result against Milan in CL. We can still be worried about the performance. Tonali will come good, he is finding his feet. No problem there.

Resultwise, great. A draw from a difficult game. I only saw the second half, but to be honest, we didn't offer any threat at all. We tried to play defence-breaking passes from too far, we had too few players breaking up, and when he had the numbers up, the decisions were wrong. Longstaff shot was of course close, and I understand why he didnt pass it to Trippier who was totally free, but it was just an example. I think the problem is A) our pressing does not work. We are not energetic enough, we are not brave enough and not winning the ball back high enough. B) When we are in possession, our passing is so slow, and players don't make off the ball runs like last year. For example, Longstaff used to make long runs towards right corner flag and pull the midfielder with him, creating space for Almiron to cut in etc. Have we seen this at all this season from Longstaff or Tonali? Seems like our midfield 3 should be fluid, but actually is very rigid because the roles are not clear. Bruno steps up to press, and neither of 8s drops down to cover -> huge space infront of our back 4. That should never happen. Last night Milan's midfielders made such an easy move behind Bruno and Tonali, there was no communication and no cover -> one pass totally bypassed our midfield. We are forced to play to Burn and Trippier, who just launch it to channel or try to find Bruno, who plays it back to CBs. Isak, Gordon, and whoever the other winger is must make themselves more open for pass. We are too predictable. edit. I know Eddie will not change the 4-3-3, but I would change it to 4-2-3-1. To 6s with either Bruno or Tonali allowed to go forward. Willock, Joelinton, or Anderson as the 8/10 behind striker. And when chasing, drop Isak to that position.
-
I think the reason we are losing the ball so quickly is that we are too easily forced to play it wide. Bruno is the only midfielder willing to receive the ball easily from the CBs. We are scared to play through the middle. And it doesnt help that Isak is so far away on his own.
-
Isak out wide doesn't really work here. He couldn't defend at all. Thank god their crosses were awful. We really need to sort out the attacking side of the game. It's hit and hope now. Wingers very wide and no support for the CF.
-
Again when we are playing without no 6 and Bruno is pressing on, there is a huge space infront of our back 4. Twice Milan have used that space in the 2nd half.

You really start calling me names after we disagree on referee's decision? Are you 12 yo mate? I don't really know, or care, what pub league you used to play, but usually rules of the game are applied when the game is played. If WIlson stands there and DOESN'T put his hand to goalkeeper's arm, that is not a foul and just weak goalkeeping. Ok you tell me google Andy Gray. That pretty much sums it up. Back when football was about kicking the shit out of the other bloke on muddy fields. Graeme Souness might also think that was not a foul, and all the other dinosaurs. I just ask one example from the last 5 years or so please.
-
Yes they are, and that is allowed for some reason. Same as small contact from behind when you are shielding the ball -> foul. No idea why. Rules regarding keepers are clearly different, this is something you know if you have played a game of football You are really comparing holdind keeper's arm down with sneezing or staring? I have played football for 17 years and watch 200+ games a year. I am yet to hear one example where that kind of goal has been allowed...
-
No need for that. It is a clear foul. He is stopping the goalkeeper from getting to that cross by holding his arm. If Wilson was pulling his shirt would that make it a foul for you? It's a same thing. Can you give me one example were that kind of goal has been given? Maybe in some pub league or park football yes.
