The fact that we haven't signed anyone other than Elanga and the fact that Eddie wanted to bring people in early does imply atleast that our list of targets was rather small. If we had a longer list of targets ready to go things would happen more quickly I would think.

Is there any particular reason for him not being fit to play a friendly? I mean those are there to get up the fitness levels. Cant deny that I'm alot less sure of him staying after him being sent home in combination with the slighy weird comments from Eddie.

But we are far from having a top level squad. Top level first XI sure.

Excluding our keepers we dont really have that old squad.

I really dont mind us not overpaying for the players we are after. We should get a couple of Kelly like transfers though just to fill up the squad.

Its just extra squad positions, still going to have like 20 players we can list or something. And if someone get a long term injury we can replace them on the list in January.

Then the amount of players available for CL doesnt really matter anyways.

Its a must(except GK). I dont expect us to be splashing out £50m+ on each position though.

Wont be the biggest squad available for CL. But unless we stack up on injuries should be ok.
