Under Rafa we saw those kind of attributes exactly, the only difference being he started.

I still think he can have a big role to play coming off the bench especially when we are trying to protect a lead, his energy and carrying the ball is made for that role of relieving pressure and giving us time to get back into shape. But the other night Howe brought Murphy on so maybe it’s not the way Howe sees him, quite a niche role as well and if I was Miggy I might want to go elsewhere to start.

Yeah, he’s just not suited to this back 4 we are playing now. He would fine in the middle of a 5 but it looks like that’s not the direction Howe wants to go, side point but I know Lascelles is limited and people have got on his back as he seems to be one of the scapegoats when things arnt working but put a good partner next to him and I think we’ll see the player that he was under Rafa. This is the best way to incorporate him I think, Howe taking off Willock for him last night might be as sign of things to come. Just not sure on the time frame of it, if he gets one start over Willock and plays well I can’t see Howe not starting him.. depending on the opponent he might put Willock back in occasionally. Fully expect Bruno to be a starter from next season onwards though when he’s been fully bedded in and has settled.
