He needs more time back in the side before he’s fairly judged, we know how consistent he can be from last season. No need to upgrade the LB position this summer, it’s far from a priority imo. Although we lack the attacking quality there it’s still one of positions with the strongest depth between Burn/Targett. CB and RB are more in need.

People who claim it’s all down to investment or ‘blood money’ have emotionally deluded themselves and are crying salty, salty tears. The recent success is 80% down to the management/coaching, how many examples can we give of teams spunking money only to flop badly?

I’d like to see a younger CB with potential (preferably right sided), a more established RB (that’s content with being rotated with Trippier who obviously remains first choice), a CM (that can ideally cover the #6 position) and a winger. I can see ASM leaving along with a couple more of the fringe players.

Not sure we’ll keep up the intensity that we’ve seen recently for this one, especially coming off of a midweek game. They will likely deploy an awkward low block as well.. but I still think we probably get a relatively comfy win. 2-0.

Also Isak out wide is monstrous, their defending at times was garbage but he just made them look like under 11s So good to see both him and Wilson putting in great performances simultaneously

The second half was pretty immaculate, besides their fortune goal. They did well in the first 30 minutes but when they gassed out second half it was over for them. The type of clinical away performance that CL chasing teams should execute. Good stuff.
