How should we have restructured our FFP plans then? Just say fuck it and spend big money on a CM? Who would you have signed to replace Bruno when he got suspended?

Why do people go on like spending recklessly and chucking out our FFP structure would have guaranteed top 4? Let’s be real, doing that comes with massive risk and it easily could have not paid off. Thankfully management had the sense to not get itchy trigger fingers but if there was a favourable deal to be done for a CM we would have done it. If you’ve not been won over to trust the process by what we’ve seen already then there’s no hope for you. About time people wake up and realise that because we’ve spent time in the top 4 this season it doesn’t mean we are ready for a CL campaign, and ironically it’s the same thing that would be said by some people if we did qualify and then struggle in the league due to the extra schedule (‘why didn’t we spend more!!!’). The answer to progress for a club in our transitional situation is not always spend spend spend.

Not sure he’s sold in the short-mid term. If he can get his head around not starting then he might have a future here playing less minutes and putting less stress on his body while still being a useful player. He’d still be a great asset in that kind of role even with his fitness record. I see him sticking around as he gets older as his relationship with Howe seems to be very good and teams now won’t be willing to take a punt on him as much as the player would like, a move across the continent might be likely but no PL side will sign him and assure him with minutes as you just can’t with his consistent injury troubles.

Will be gone in summer if any worthy offer comes in

Our ex players seem to really bother them, usually the players move on and speak fondly of their time here and that’s apparently reason enough for the mackems to never get over the players association with us. Their ex players on the other hand score goals that send them down and cup their ear to the crowd because they got racist abuse there

Like others said Miggy benefits big time from Bruno being on the pitch, he links with with him or Trippier best. I think teams have adapted to deal with him though, he is a more predictable player.
