You can always tell which way Botman is going because he is so slow and has the turns like a WW2 tank. Or, he's an underrated athlete with reactions and instincts that allow him to operate at an elite level despite his lack of speed. Depending on whether we are signing him or not.

That article about transfers from the Athletic suggests that basic terms are agreed between the buying club and the players agent (usually via WhatsApp!) then a bid is put to the selling club. Makes sense that the headline terms have been agreed but the finer details still need to be sorted, which the player may want to put on hold until the U20s tournament has finished.

It does to an extent because it pushes the money into a different year, so we don't gain anything (aside from the reduction in wages) this year. Our spending is capped in three-year cycles so this money doesn't count towards our current 20/21-22/23 cycle, it'll only come into play during the next one, 21/22 - 23/24.
