  1. Bruno and especially Paqueta are well ahead of Botman imo Paqueta is a regular for Brazil, Bruno gets sub appearances here and there, Botman hasn't got a single senior cap.
  2. Came in to post exactly this basically. I trust the current regime. If they think he does like the idea of coming here, he just prefers Milan, then we'll make the move. If he is essentially being forced to come here, I trust them to understand that and move on to another target. If he was so desperate to join Milan over us, he wouldn't be setting a deadline (which he is, according to some reports), he'd just wait until there is absolutely no time for Milan to get their shit together.
  3. Might not be more time as such, just in the hope that we'll be negotiating a new sponsorship deal next summer as a top 7/8 club rather than this summer as a team that eventually finished 11th after battling against relegation for much of the season.
  4. Nunez to LFC will either be a total flop or he'll get about 20 goals a season. Would love to know how much Tarkowski is being paid. Was talk he wanted over 100k?
  5. That's it basically. They don't need to report every rumour, make stuff up for clicks etc.
  6. Don't knock it 'till you've tried it...
  7. You can always tell which way Botman is going because he is so slow and has the turns like a WW2 tank. Or, he's an underrated athlete with reactions and instincts that allow him to operate at an elite level despite his lack of speed. Depending on whether we are signing him or not.
  8. His appearances in PL seasons (starting this season and working backwards) - 18, 26, 35, 30, 28, 20, 13 Compared to Harry Kane (just picking someone who is a nailed-on starter) - 37, 35, 29, 28, 37, 30, 38, 34 I'd say someone who has only managed more than 30 appearances once in seven seasons can't be fully relied upon.
  9. That does make sense. Basically have some deals lined up (Targett, Hayden) and just put them to him, "Any issues you can see here?"
  10. It is pretty similar to most other mid-table teams which, until we prove otherwise, is what we are. This maybe isn't 100% accurate or up to date but - https://www.totalsportal.com/money/premier-league-kit-deals/
  11. It'd be DCL + about £40m to play with too. So DCL + most of a Paqueta or Nunez?
  12. I think the "pro" one is made from different material. The non-embroidered badge is to prevent chafing of the nips.
  13. So yeah, the "stuck on" badge is the £105 posh version...
  14. This was my first thought too. If Lodi was going to be in the £35-40m range then I assume we've got a plan for that extra £20m or so...
  15. This saga will never end. He will alternate between being on the brink of signing for us, then AC Milan, every couple of days for every transfer window until he retires at age 38 having played 576 games for Lille.
  16. If we pay off Fun88 at £6.5m and we replace it with a deal worth £10m, we're gaining £3.5m in sponsorship money, but we would have got £6.5m by just sticking with Fun88 so it wouldn't be worth it. I'm assuming that's what @nufcnick meant (and he's right)
  17. Would be pretty disappointing if we ended up with a non-embroidered crest and Fun88 remaining as sponsor. Still, if we win a fuck load of games in it I won't really care.
  18. I'm probably alone on this but that Barca kit has way too much going on. Would be better without either the weird texture/pattern or without the strange collar/shoulder bit.
  19. That article about transfers from the Athletic suggests that basic terms are agreed between the buying club and the players agent (usually via WhatsApp!) then a bid is put to the selling club. Makes sense that the headline terms have been agreed but the finer details still need to be sorted, which the player may want to put on hold until the U20s tournament has finished.
  20. Eriksen and Sarr for £25m would be great business
  21. There are plenty of teams who would value his pressing, energy and pace tbf. He's obviously miles away from elite level but I think he could do a job for a lower-mid-table team in England, Spain, Germany etc
  22. Would be staggered if it isn't Fun88, no way they would have been able to keep news about a new sponsor leaking out.
  23. Yeah this is my current feeling. I can't see them being able to put forward a credible business plan for EFL approval.
  24. It does to an extent because it pushes the money into a different year, so we don't gain anything (aside from the reduction in wages) this year. Our spending is capped in three-year cycles so this money doesn't count towards our current 20/21-22/23 cycle, it'll only come into play during the next one, 21/22 - 23/24.
  25. No, it just says his eye for a player is as shit as yours Just kidding of course, we've all got our own opinions.
