  1. I think the "pro" one is made from different material. The non-embroidered badge is to prevent chafing of the nips.
  2. So yeah, the "stuck on" badge is the £105 posh version...
  3. This was my first thought too. If Lodi was going to be in the £35-40m range then I assume we've got a plan for that extra £20m or so...
  4. This saga will never end. He will alternate between being on the brink of signing for us, then AC Milan, every couple of days for every transfer window until he retires at age 38 having played 576 games for Lille.
  5. If we pay off Fun88 at £6.5m and we replace it with a deal worth £10m, we're gaining £3.5m in sponsorship money, but we would have got £6.5m by just sticking with Fun88 so it wouldn't be worth it. I'm assuming that's what @nufcnick meant (and he's right)
  6. Would be pretty disappointing if we ended up with a non-embroidered crest and Fun88 remaining as sponsor. Still, if we win a fuck load of games in it I won't really care.
  7. I'm probably alone on this but that Barca kit has way too much going on. Would be better without either the weird texture/pattern or without the strange collar/shoulder bit.
  8. That article about transfers from the Athletic suggests that basic terms are agreed between the buying club and the players agent (usually via WhatsApp!) then a bid is put to the selling club. Makes sense that the headline terms have been agreed but the finer details still need to be sorted, which the player may want to put on hold until the U20s tournament has finished.
  9. Eriksen and Sarr for £25m would be great business
  10. There are plenty of teams who would value his pressing, energy and pace tbf. He's obviously miles away from elite level but I think he could do a job for a lower-mid-table team in England, Spain, Germany etc
  11. Would be staggered if it isn't Fun88, no way they would have been able to keep news about a new sponsor leaking out.
  12. Yeah this is my current feeling. I can't see them being able to put forward a credible business plan for EFL approval.
  13. It does to an extent because it pushes the money into a different year, so we don't gain anything (aside from the reduction in wages) this year. Our spending is capped in three-year cycles so this money doesn't count towards our current 20/21-22/23 cycle, it'll only come into play during the next one, 21/22 - 23/24.
  14. No, it just says his eye for a player is as shit as yours Just kidding of course, we've all got our own opinions.
  15. Presumably appearances and/or promotion? Sure the details will be made public at some point
  16. Nothing says "financial stability" quite like cryptocurrency...
  17. Signing PL-based players (or players with PL experience) was exactly the right thing to do in the position we found ourselves in at the time tbf.
  18. Obviously hasn't been a great day with a lot of our reported top targets being ruled out or linked elsewhere. Still, pre-season training will be when? Early next month? Plenty of time to move onto other targets, we could see Badiashile & Sarr rather than Botman & Diaby which wouldn't be a massive downgrade imo.
  19. They should call it the Jackie Broon training ground extension
  20. ...and even Wood I think we can cut them some slack considering the position we found ourselves in (desperate, running out of time and knowing we could trigger a release clause) Re: Henderson - From what I can gather, the negotiation between us and Man Utd is whether its buy outright, loan with option to buy or loan with obligation to buy. I'd guess that the lower figures being mentioned (£15-20m) are for an outright purchase, loan with obligation would be higher, because Man Utd would rather have the money up-front?
  21. Looks like a very tidy player. Solid DM but always looking to progress the play forwards. https://fbref.com/en/players/ce4f40c7/Cheick-Doucoure https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cheick-doucoure/profil/spieler/543387
  22. I always think stories saying a club isn't going to persue a player they have been heavily linked with is braver and more likely to be true because the "get out" is more difficult if the move does end up happening. If you say a player is being persued there's loads of excuses you can use if you were just talking shit and the player doesn't end up signing.
  23. Judging by what was said about him on the latest EIBW podcast, I wouldn't be too surprised if we didn't see much from him publicly at all. Seems to shun the limelight where possible.
