  1. Yeah, exactly this. It's ITK bullshit bingo. ✅ Vague ✅ Anonymous account ✅ Based on existing rumours, nothing new ✅ Always leave a get-out "Just what I've heard"/"Could still be wrong"
  2. His name came up a couple of weeks ago, personally I dismissed them on the basis that he is generally considered to be a bit of a bellend and we know how keen Howe is to develop the right sort of "culture" here.
  3. Luke Edwards saying it's more like £10m plus bonuses so you could be right.
  4. We aren't going to spend £30m+ on this guy then another big chunk on another CF. Hopefully he does the business
  5. Right. So a post on Instagram (not even the club's Instagram) that was deleted almost straight away. If they come out with some official press release about a delay to the announcement of the new kit, the overwhelming response would be "What delay?"
  6. Getting rid of Donald and that other doylem is undoubtedly good news for them in isolation. Depends who comes in though. A bit like if we'd got rid of Ashley (good) but ended up with BZG or that weird computer-generated lass from Singapore (bad)
  7. Is there a delay with kit? Making some sort of press release about a kit that never had an official release date and that we aren't even due to wear until some time in July would be mental imo
  8. Agree with all the above. Denayer would be a really good option as 3rd/4th CB. Don't know enough about Grimaldo but he's obviously someone we were keen on.
  9. I reckon this is what happened. Quoting myself obviously
  10. I suppose it could have been a scheduled post based on an initial release date which has since been pushed back, possibly due to a hold-up with the sponsorship deal? This would explain why it was posted, then promptly deleted and why Fun88 are still happily posting their usual NUFC content. Like you say, if the release date is today, why delete the posts?
  11. Not necessarily. Spurs' was/is mostly the new stadium.
  12. But the winner is being announced on Sunday
  13. If the kits are being unveiled tomorrow and if there is going to be a new sponsor, then they've done very well to keep it quiet. Unless its Saudia obviously, every cunt on Twitter has been claiming that one
  14. This is why I always felt that rather than his arrival signalling a sudden influx of signings, he'll probably want to have a look at where we are with various negotiations and offer advice, opinions and/or assistance with the process.
  15. Didn't realise Ake was 27. Should be approaching his prime. Haven't really seen enough of either to compare him accurately to Botman but I'd be interested to know what Man City would class as a reasonable offer.
  16. I think that could be the players shirt, rather than the replica. Like @Ikonsays, the material is different too. It was someone on here who pointed out that the players shirts don't have the embroidered badge to prevent nipple chafing...
  17. I remember reading an article, probably 6-7 years ago, and it was basically saying "The Saudi's want the biggest boats, the most expensive mansions, the most sought-after paintings, why are they leaving football to Abu Dhabi and Qatar?" The answer was basically the opposite of sports washing - they wanted as little attention on them as possible.
  18. Google tells me that the Botswana national team are nicknamed "The Zebras" which seems ideal really
  19. I like DCL over Toney but I'm not sure I'd go for either if we're talking over £40m
  20. From what I can gather, he won't be too involved in actually identifying the players (not this summer at least) but he will play a role in the negotiations/logistics etc.
  21. Couple of things that make me think its fake. The crest looks stuck on, rather than embroidered. The Fun88 logo usually has a white border (which gave us the big 4 on this season's kit). I also think the lettering on the Fun88 bit looks off, a bit too thin maybe? A better picture would help obviously.
  22. Determining "market value" of sponsorship is a thing. It's a key part of advertising, working out the value of each opportunity is important to both sides. The main driver is market size, which you would argue is pretty big for most PL teams due to the TV coverage. I'm sure I read somewhere that you could basically argue that "market value" is just whatever the current highest deal is because otherwise how do you decide how much lower than that is "fair"? Where do you draw the line? The problem is that they're trying to regulate something (the value of a particular advert basically) that in the real world just regulates itself.
