Just another name for the same thing Border Tartan

@Shadow Puppets did say the home kit could divide opinion... Edit - "Controversial" was the exact term

Looks like his kid has a pretty big head though. Grumpy looking fucker n'all

In fairness, at no point did I question the owners ambition. I do question anyone who reckons we can continue to add 40% year-on-year without a major reshaping of the current rules.
-
Yes, but they didn't do it in five years and they aren't standing still so your original point of 40% year-on-year is wildly optimistic, "Basic mathematics" or otherwise.
-
This has been explained before though - we've already signed off the big deals. The amount required for that 40% growth increases each time, where is it all coming from? 40% on £150m = £60m 40% on £210m = £84m 40% on £294m = £118m ...and so on

Someone at Adidas hire @Kid Icarus ffs

My thoughts exactly. We've just got out of a PSR-shaped-hole and we're going to celebrate by doing exactly what got us in that hole in the first place...

This thread; "Nobody sings any more" 😠 *Sings song* "NO not that one!" 😡 *Sings different song* "YOU'RE SINGING IT TOO FAST" 🤬 (posted partly in jest...)

But if we have deals turned down, then the latest rules are also found to be null and void...
-
I'd be quite happy just doing what we were doing. Any top PL club could have signed Isak, Bruno, Botman, Gordon...it's not like we put £120m and £500k/week on the table to blow everyone else out of the water. Now we can't even do that, without selling one of those players to one of the clubs we're trying to overtake.

Do UEFA have their own version of APT rules?
-
Which three were found unlawful?
-
That's fair, and is one of the main issues at SJP. The problem is that, like in SJP, there hasn't been an effort to facilitate that sort of grouping together of likeminded supporters. Again, credit to Wor Flags for trying to do just that but I think it's a huge uphill task without support from official channels.
-
Yeah credit to @Heron and the Wor Flags lads and lasses but I can't see the atmosphere being any better than last time out seeing as its largely going to be all the same people attending. Hopefully I'm wrong.

A right-footed left-winger you say... Do they have any goalkeepers they're willing to part with too? -
I just don't think we can shop in that £50m+ bracket. Or at least we can't do that and fill all the gaps in the squad.

He'll tear his pectoral putting the pen down after he's signed the new contract

What the tweet above appears to be speculating is that the panel have said that any changes the PL have made to the rules after the hearing (ie the ones that got voted through at the end of last year) are beyond their remit, therefore another hearing is needed to determine whether the amended rules are valid or not.
-
That's exactly what got (I think) Derby in bother. They didn't do a flat rate of amortisation because they argued that a players value decreased more in relative terms in the final year of his contract compared to going from 3 years to 2 years etc. It may not have been Derby but there was a club that did it that way and that's why they ended up forcing a straight line amortisation.
-
There was also a rumour that the home kit was going to have some sort of tartan pattern?
-
The problem with anchoring (from our perspective) is that it will be used in conjunction with the proposed 70% cap, rather than replace it, as I understand it. We'll still be limited to either the anchoring multiplier or the 70% cap, whichever is the lowest. It means that even if we can find a way around the APT rules and substantially increase our revenue, there's going to be another cap right around the corner.

This has probably been covered but would this be extra time and pens or straight to pens?
