Fulham vs. Newcastle United: 6/4/24 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Luke Edwards' team I think... -
Are we believing this numpty now? Casey that is, not Geordie Boyo
-
and unfortunately, tagging a few thousand extra seats on the top of the Gallowgate isn't going to improve either of those things. As discussed, it could actually make the atmosphere worse. We need more income to improve the squad (changes to FFP rules notwithstanding) and we need to alter the composition of the crowd and I don't see how the club can do either of those things within the confines of SJP.
-
Over the past few years or so I've not had a ST so just tended to pick tickets up when and where I can which means I've sat all over the place. In my experience the best atmosphere is middle/back of the Gallowgate and I think that is at least in part due to the sloping roof which allows any noise to reverberate around. Now I'm not saying the atmosphere is amazing or anything, but it was certainly better the few times I've been in there compared to my ventures into the Leazes and Milburn Stands. I'm just talking regular PL games here, not PSG etc. Of course there's more to it than that and certain games are going to have a buzz about them regardless but its disingenuous to suggest that the design of the stadium plays no part in it.
-
On current form, Chelsea catching us is more likely than us catching Man Utd. They've got a pretty easy run-in too (Chelsea that is, don't know about Man Utd's)
-
"Clubs who don't like PSR and/or are in a precarious position with it" could be quite a few. Us & Man City, possibly Villa in the first category. Obviously Everton & Forest in the second. Chelsea are quite possibly cutting it fine. And that's just the clubs we know about.

Newcastle United announce rebranding of the East Stand - now called The Saudi Incontinence Pad Company Stand. The PIF-owned adult nappy conglomerate will pay £50m per season to sponsor the stand, popular with the over 70s.
-
Scrapping the rules on FMV/related party transactions would be massive for us, even if FFP was largely unchanged otherwise.
-
Could be that if clubs can't/don't pay the fine, points deductions are the punishment?
-
They've already confirmed it haven't they?
-
It'll be current top 3 (in any order), Villa/Spurs, Man Utd 6th then us/Brighton/West Ham/Chelsea fighting for 7th/8th. Just got to finish top of that league of four.
-
They won 4 and drew 1 of the 7 games between sacking Mowbray and playing us.
-
Pre-derby P26 W12 40pts (6th) Post-derby P14 W3 11pts (13th) That's 1.54ppg before, 0.79ppg after.
-
Is it even Newcastle United if you aren't permanently on the verge of a breakdown watching us play?
-
Not sure how I feel about that part but as a guy in his mid-30s the thought of Paolo Maldini having anything to do with my club in an official capacity is pretty exciting.
-
Can he play CB too or just LB?
-
Even if we beat Spurs we're still 10 points behind them & they have West Ham, Forest, Burnley and Sheff Utd in their remaining fixtures.
-
The problem at the moment is that (as I understand it) we can't inflate them even if we wanted to because the PL need to pre-approve any sponsorship deals.

Would probably take that tbf -
They were 6th (40pts from 26 games) when we played them. They've got 11pts from the 14 games after, currently 12th.
-
If both sides have their shooting boots on its going to be about 7-7
-
At the game I thought he had made two touches, one to control it and one to give himself some space to get the shot away. Only realised it was all one movement when I saw the replay on Twitter. In my defence the last 15mins were essentially an out-of-body experience.
-
Collar slightly different. And I think the outer black stripes are a bit thicker on the bottom one.
-
Even ignoring the FFP implications (which are obviously a lot more complicated) the profit and loss account currently sits at minus £550m. Half a billion quid for relegation battle after relegation battle.
-
What are the other three? Presumably do nothing is one, a new stadium another?
