Isak signed a six-year contract, and they say he's making 300k a week. Plus, he probably got a nice signing bonus, and his agent got a big payday from Liverpool for making it happen. Honestly, he's set. He won't care if he sucks. He's got his money for six years. The way he and his agent acted this summer should have been a major red flag for Liverpool, they clearly were in it for the money not sporting ambition. So, it's not worth revelling in how bad he's been for them as that does not affect him one bit. He and his agent are swimming in the £ as was their goal. So they won. Even if he is dog shite for the next 6 years for them. He still won. I'm just enjoying Liverpool's misfortune and hoping both Wirtz and Isak totally bomb this season. While salah and VVD fall of a cliff. In this story. No matter how it turns out. Isak and his agent won.

He seems right at home in that tonali role.

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Im not, he would be pushing for a move after 2 season ala Isak if we signed him. -
Yeah, you're talking about players from from 6/7 years ago. The game's changed a lot since then. Also I would argue the pace and physicality of the league is more than when santi played. You just have to look at Peps barca team and the treble man city team to see that this league doesnt suit small nibble players in the middle of the park, but out wide. Silva, foden etc.

Wirtz is small, and he plays that number 10 role, you know, floating around and trying to create something it works in Spain and Germany, but I don't think it'll fly in the Premier League. Look at Maddison, even Havertz had to change things up when he came to England. Teams are so compact, physically strong, fitter and there's no space in the middle. I just don't see him fitting in. Liverpool's won all four league games, so Wirtz hasn't been getting as much attention. It'll be interesting to see what the media says when they start dropping points. Nick's at the right club to get better. We make chances all the time, and if he finishes them, he'll score 20 goals in all comps, easy. We just gotta manage his game time till Wissa's back.

Yeah, it's easy to talk tough from your couch, right? You don't live this every day. Every press conference, always in the news, players constantly getting Isak questions. You gotta see it from their side, the ones dealing with it all the time. I get your opinion, but the real question was... Could Isak rejoin the team? If not, then it was time to cut ties and move on. Keep him until January or next summer, he's just going to mope around, with mysterious injuries, and cause problems in the locker room, being unprofessional, not training hard, and then still get sold to Liverpool or someother club? Having ruined our season like he has ruined preseason and the start of the league, now thats idiotic. All so we the fans can play Billy big bollocks on social media? Come on, be realistic.

I'd give the window an 8/10, for sure. When everyone's healthy, we've got some serious options coming off the bench. I'm really happy with what we've done. I wish we could've replaced Willock with someone with a better injury record who fits our system better. But, besides the Isak deal, we're way stronger than we were last season. I'd have given it a 9.5/10 if we'd gotten Wissa and those guys a bit sooner. We could easily have 6 or 7 points right now. Can't wait to see what big Nick brings and finally having a real striker for Elanga to aim at. He's put in a couple of great crosses where a natural forward would've scored. Im sure we will have a quality season and by January Isak will have been forgotten, with big Nick and wissa banging them in. Howay the lads.

So, the guy's 26, signed a six-year deal, supposedly making 300k a week. they'll get like, three or four seasons out of him, then probably sell him. If he sucks, they'll ship him off to Saudi Arabia. Look at Nunez. For him and his agent, it's a huge win, and they'll make more again if he goes to Saudi. So, for him and his cunt agent it doesn't matter if he plays well or totally flops at Liverpool But if he sucks for Liverpool, people will be questioning their signings, especially since Wirtz doesn't seem to fit in the league. They've got a good team on paper, let's see how it plays out this season. My wish. Isaks bombs, wirtz bombs, Liverpool barely scrape CL/arent in title contention, get knocked out early of the CL and Slot get the sack. Is that too much to ask? Now I have said it. The probably win the quad 🤢🤢🤮🤮

He has a good season, i see a pre contract to Real Madrid in January. They do love a world class talent on a free them lot.
-
Looking back, we should've just given Palace whatever they wanted for Guehi. He's a total pro, a great guy, and super loyal. He wants to leave, but he's cool with staying. Must be awesome being a Palace fan watching him tonight. You know he won't throw a tantrum and will just keep going.

Me too, wissa is a very important signing in big Nicks development for sure.
-
We've got nothing up front right now, dude. Big Nick needs a Wissa like Isak needed a Wilson. Think about it this way: if Wissa scores 20 goals this season in all comps and we get a top-five finish, a Champions League run, and do well in the FA Cup, we'll be saying what a bargain he is. Let's see how things go before we say it's a bad deal. Howe's usually right about this stuff, so these opinions probably won't age well. Personally I have full faith wissa proves his transfer fee. We will be screaming bargain by January.
-
Its a no brainer of a transfer once we got big Nick in.
-
Yeah, I agree. These guys need time to get used to things and some help. Having some older, more experienced players really makes a difference. Like, Trippier would've helped Tino and Hall, and Schar/Burn helped Botman. Wilson helped Isak, and so on. The main thing is, while we're getting new players, we need to mix them with experienced guys who can take the heat. Is Wissa overpriced? Yeah, probably. But he'll take some pressure off Big Nick this season definitely and that's worth a few million on its own, and helps the model you are proposing to succeed as well as keeping us at the top end of the league constantly.

Young, foreign and great YouTube highlights what's not to like 😁
-
Because, isak aside. We do not sell our high value assets. We just clearing the low value assets.
-
We have plenty of assets to trade with. I would say about 7 who about double their transfer fee or there abouts. How many do you need? We need some experience and guaranteed goals.
-
His g/a over the past 3 seasons isn't bad to be fair. More than a 1 season wonder. Also looking at his style of play he can see he fits us like a glove. Yes lets debate the price, but you cant deny his stats over the past 3 seasons.
-
I bet we will be screaming bargain if he bags the winner against wolves
-
Throw your CV in fella. Some times we need depth. Do we get 3 years out of wissa? Yes. In those 3 years will Nick be settled and possibly ripping it up? Maybe. We need someone who scores goals now. Not next year or whatever and wissa is the closest to assured prem goals we have on the market. This is a no brainer to be fair.
-
Will see. But I still think he gets a fair few. He gets 15 this season and big nick gets 10. Thats fine.
-
His goal scoring record over the past 3 seasons is not underwhelming though.
-
Nah, Isak ain't Kane, man. Kane's scoring record is way better. A 30-year-old Kane is still worth more than a 26-year-old Isak in this market. Sorry, but this is a bad comparison. Levy knew he had one of the best strikers ever in the epl making his bargaining position strong. Isak's good, but it's silly to compare them.
