I can’t see us buying anyone now. We have left it all far too late. We seem to be still offering lower than both Brentford and wolves would even consider accepting. we should have had Wilson’s replacement done and dusted no later than mid July. We have messed about way too much. Leaving it this late is unacceptable for his replacement. The Isak situation has caused a lot of problems. But that shouldn’t have affected Wilson’s replacement. we look, at this stage, to be going into the season with just osula as our actual striker option. The club have done a lot of good, made some great signings this summer … but this is a terrible situation. Hope I am proved wrong in these last few days. But don’t seem to be pushing too hard. Will close the window and be “we tried. But just couldn’t do it” whilst under bidding and chasing the same 2.

Still a big thing though. If he is brought on. It makes it worse for us as he would be cup tied. If they bring him on it shows it’s not likely or close to happen.

Absolutely guttering that but always had that feeling in back of my head soon as I saw 11 mins added on. These lucky fuckers always find a way. Can’t fault any of those on the pitch this second half (and the first 30mins). The amount of effort and passion they’ve put in tonight is immense. Keep that level up this season and sort the forward situation out (and don’t get done over by injuries) and we will do good.
