Not watching now but neither Lascelles nor Murphy will play a single minute at centre back this season all being well and they’re up against one of the best teams in Spain so it is what it is! -

Have some people got the stream working? -
Embarrassing that we are paying so much more than we could have paid if we just bought him at the start of the window for someone we have evidently been wanting for years. Genuinely think that’s the biggest embarrassment of a horrific transfer window so far. However, if Howe and the team have fancied him this long then he must have something about him despite the negative noise so fingers crossed this one works out.

Also thought Miley and Bruno linked up really well and had a good understanding

Why are people shitting the bed. We have a game tomorrow, it was always going to be a weak team tonight -
Hopefully starting him tonight with Gordon/Barnes starting tomorrow. Will be good to see how he does from the start

Samu Wissa Pacqueta Thiaw What would that cost? £180m? Sell Isak for close to £150m and we can start looking forward again. Surely there would be some extra money available as well in January if needed
-
Very speculative, you wouldn't have seen an article like this from Ornstein a few years ago. Saying that, yes please! I think him or Woltemade are the last realistic signings that we could potentially make to replace Isak that are potentially exciting. Both rely on Wissa signing to give us that PL experience whilst they adapt.
-
They will know that they can't upgrade with Joao Pedro and then sell Jackson for more than they bought him for. I do think there is a decent player in Jackson at about £40m to £50m, any more and we shouldn't go near him. The guy also comes across as a tosser which doesn't help.
-
Nicolas Jackson will barely play next season as third choice striker so his value will only decrease. They will surely accept much lower than the quoted price. Saying that knowing Chelsea he will play 10 games next season, score 0 goals and go up another £20m in value.
-
£20m for Broja is absolutely ridiculous, the guy has scored two league goals in the last three seasons, how on earth do Chelsea get these sort of fees? Also made a profit on Ugochukwu despite him having a pretty average season at Southampton. Burnley will finish rock bottom with these sort of signings.
-
The main reason I think he should have come to us is that I really believe that Howe would have taken him to another level and he would have then interested other big teams. However, I would not be surprised to see Man Utd finish above us next season with the team that they have and without the pressures of European football. So I don’t think it’s that strange a decision that some are making out.
-
‘Only wants to join Man Utd’. Get fucked you prick! Quite obviously not true even if they are his preferred destination
-
Never been keen on this one, but I will trust the scouting department if we do sign him. Still, a pretty depressing day so far!
-
Sounds like he has 'chosen' both of us, so that report was probably not wrong. Just sounds like if all things are equal he would prefer Man Utd. At the moment things aren't equal so it depends how much he prefers Man Utd as to whether he now puts pressure on RB Liepzig.
-
It isn't just bad luck but I would rather we targeted top players who could have brought us on a few levels then settle for somebody that we are not sure on. We have got to where we are by having a list of targets that we are certain on and we haven't missed once in the transfer market with the Saudi's once. I don't want them to change there approach as shit and annoying as this window has been.
-
As much as I hate to agree with him, but Froggy is right on this one...we have probably agreed to pay the same amount of wages as them hence why he has verbally given the thumps up to both of us. He may 'prefer' Man Utd but that doesn't mean he isn't more than happy to come here if we get a bid accepted and they don't. Do you think Tonali or Isak would have come to us in the first place if Man Utd, Liverpool or Chelsea also bid? Doesn't stop them from joining and becoming integral parts in our development.
-
Every single player we have attempted to sign this window is attainable and would have happily joined. Just because they have ended up elsewhere doesn't mean they wouldn't have signed for us. Going after top players runs the risk of this happening but if we didn't go after top players in the first place we never would have signed Bruno, Tonali or Isak.
-
Just give them the 10 million add on's up front if we want him so badly. Can't see them accepting Man Utd's bid if they are getting 10m up front more from us.
-
Just like when Chelsea first went in for Joao Pedro, I am 95% sure we will come out of this empty handed with egg on our faces. The car crash of a window continues...
-
To a degree, yes. But he would get plenty of engagement from Newcastle, Man Utd and Liverpool fans by preaching about our bid last night in the same way, as we are all involved in this.
-
Romano tweeted once about our bid didn't he and that took him ages. Already tweeted twice about 'United's' bid about ten minutes into it happening, so obvious that he is paid to push certain clubs...it's embarrassing.
-
Annoyed that Isak will be going to Liverpool but after the way he has acted...fuck him, no player is bigger than the club. If we bring in Sesko and Wissa as replacements for Isak and Wilson I would like to think that the two combined would score more Premier League goals than Isak and Wilson got combined last season so it isn't all doom and gloom and there would theoretically be plenty in reserve to get a proper centre back and central midfielder in to really enhance the squad. This shit show of a window can be fixed!
