Was just thinking this. Can’t really argue that it isn’t market value when they are giving out sponsors to unrelated parties of the same value.

If we are going 4-2-3-1 then Gordon should be the number 10, I think he would be fantastic in that position.
-
Also, I am sure it won't be done, but the interest on the shareholders loans absolutely should be backdated to when the RPT rules came in. If it isn't backdated then what is the point in the ruling?

Am I the only one that feels like it will barely change anything for us? Just feel like we have had a few false hopes in the past few years that the rules are going to be relaxed for then nothing to happen. We also never seem to have the appetite to bring legal cases to the PL, hopefully that changes here because it is ridiculous how quickly they brought rules in to limit our growth.

Always feel like this is a game that really suits us at home. They will play out from the back and we will hopefully press them well and get the result. Main worries for me are Mitoma (a hell of a player) and the inevitability of Minteh doing something but I really think the midfield and defence can be got at and we will hopefully overpower them.

Yeah I agree, frustrating that we couldn't get the three points which would have seen us go level with 4th but it is a decent start as long as we start kicking into gear. Still feel like the season can go one of two ways but there is a decent chance that Europe will be 8th so we should be getting at least that in my opinion.

Mental fatigue more than anything at this stage. The highs of winning your first game back at home in Europe's premier competition late on to then having to play the dross that is Man Utd, difficult to motivate yourself to go again.

Would have liked to have seen us throw Osula on and go 4-2-3-1 at one point. Osula down the middle, Gordon in the middle and Miggy and Barnes either side. Gordon was picking up some good positions in the first half and having a focal point stretching the game could have given him more space

Don’t think we should have started him but he absolutely should have come on as we were insistent on going down the wings all game when it wasn’t working

I would play: Pope Trippier Schar Burn Hall Tonali Bruno Joelinton Murphy Gordon Barnes I would start Burn for this one as they are so direct and he will be the best to challenge DCL in the air. Huge game and if we can win it will be a massive three points.

What a waste of time. They may as well have gone for it for the last 10 minutes at least. Pointless game really
-
Christ that was dull but at least we are winning. Just wish we would try and beat a man or play a riskier pass a bit more, we will get the ball back instantly anyway so may as well try and be a bit more direct. Miggy playing well but has no end product, standard. Everyone else is a bit ‘meh’

Very rare reds get overturned now that we have VAR. Definitely feels like preferential treatment for certain teams when things like this happen. It wasn’t a red but there are plenty of ones like that that don’t get overturned

I think it is more that he would like to join Newcastle but knows if nothing is agreed he could get better than us in 12 months time. He is in a good position with his contract running down, his only issue could then become complacency as he knows he isn't there long term.

Just watched the highlights on Newcastle's website and that period of play where Joelinton should have got the penalty, Barnes had the chance on the right hand side and Tonali and Grealish had there tussle was fantastic. Shame it had to end with one of the worst crosses you'll see from Tonali . Some really good football from us and something to now build on for the coming games.
