He was fine when playing behind Wissa but once he was pushed up front by himself all his limitations as a 9 became apparent. Numerous times in second half we countered with pace on the wings and he was jogging slowly from the centre circle about 20 yards behind, nowhere near the penalty box. Happened loads last 60 minutes and everyone around me was screaming to get forward with some urgency.

I've mentioned this before but we are an investment with an element of sports washing, not a vanity project like PSG, Man City or Chelsea under the Russian. Any major expenditure on capital projects such as a new stadium costing billions or hundreds of millions on expanding SJP needs to meet all the criteria of the PIF board. They'll need to see a high double digits return on that level of investment, I'm guessing. Plus they'll have loads of other metrics that need to be met before that level of expenditure is approved. There will be an exit strategy for selling us and realising a substantial profit. If the £1.5bn(?) stadium in the poorest region in England does not deliver that, then in my view we will not get a new stadium. I think we'll see a SJP expansion to about 60k if the numbers add up. If not, probably a refit of SJP with people like me who are near the halfway line in East Stand being moved to L7 for corporates paying £200 a game! Saying all that, there's no excuses for how long its taking to get a new training site identified and started.
