Colleague of mine is a UEFA B License coach and mentioned the lack of English managers available when the England job came up. He basically puts it down to firstly the cost. To get all your licenses up to UEFA Pro, it's the best part of £20,000. Then you throw in the reluctance to hire managers who haven't played the game professionally and this is the result. We really need to start investing in coaches in this country, the whole hiring ex-professional players thing is clearly not working.

Him walking off bowing to Strawberry corner and the Gallowgate when he was subbed off was a top moment. You rarely find someone like him that bleeds black and white just like the rest of us. Irreplaceable in my opinion.
