  1. Aye liked the sound of his response in the press conference, no playing it down and wasn't aware how bad our recent record was. Think he's going all out for the win here.
  2. Agreed, no room for sentiment. Once he's fully fit he must start.
  3. Think Saturday early kick off is best we can hope for tbh, bad feeling it will end up Sunday.
  4. Nonsense, the fans will be more up for this game than any of the champions league matches thus far in my opinion. Not that they need to be ranked.
  5. You can't pick a team or approach a game on the fear that they might get injured. If they're fit to play and available then they should be selected. Just a ridiculously negative attitude. It's a big game and means a lot to the fans, pick the best team available get in won and sub players off if needed. If he plays a second string team and we're beat whilst first team players were available and likely desperate to play then yes he will deserve criticism. I'm quite confident he won't do that and will get this fixture.
  6. He's done a job when called upon so credit where its due but the difference with Livromento is night and day. Burn will have to be a back up centre half and full back going forward. With our luck with injuries he'll likely still get games and do a job again at some point.
  7. Aye fills you with confidence really it's a style and way of playing that Howe is instilling into them. If it works well with back up players and youngsters coming through think how well it's going to work each time we managed to upgrade players. We haven't really improved our starting 11 on last season other than Livromento now coming into left back and that's made a massive difference.
  8. If it wasn't for our injuries we'd have got top four again easily like, to still have a chance says a lot about Howe.
  9. Think some don't appreciate the scale of the game tbh, many on the Sunderland boards claiming they'd rather win this game than get promoted....?
  10. I think many will likely change their tune when it's a week or two out from the game, loosing to this lot just isn't an option tbh it would be an embarrassment to the club and the fans. Play a weakened team and we definitely run the risk of getting beat.

We've got a great goal keeping team tbh, have like 3 keepers I'd be happy enough to see start. I'd rather strengthen elsewhere.
  12. This is one of the biggest games of Howes reign, rest players and get beat and it will be an epic fuck up and unforgivable to some. Need to go full strength, its one game and tbh we should be prioritising the FA and league games anyways, our only real chance of ending our ridiculously shite trophy record. How many players do you rest? They're only one league below us and will be massively up for the game. Arrogant to think we can field a second string and win.
  13. Should just be able to get a TV season ticket for your team and so every prem game tbh.
  14. That's more like it, people In here going on about taking them back to SJP for a replay man ?. Shefield United are better than them and we absolutely obliterated them. We can't take it for granted or expect to just turn up but we know Howe won't put up with that anyways. Full strength team and set up properly and we should smash them.
  15. Should be a laugh given the standards of their previous displays. The Quinn tribute ?? https://twitter.com/Phil__Smith/status/1581284011158429696
  16. Aye I think that is likely tbh, police will probably demand it. The fault of the idiots who have spoilt themselves over the years to be fair.
  17. When will the date and time of this be confirmed? Hopefully its a Saturday and no Mondays off required.
  18. This i fully back Howe to get this fixture and get the job done.
  19. Some bizarre takes in here like, take them back to SJP ffs ?

Yea I back Dubravka to do well and Karius too if called upon.

Do that and they'll likely just want to leave, can't expect them to sit patiently as back up keepers to sign a replacement when Pope gets injured.
  22. He's one of the best in the league, shockingly underrated by neutrals and pundits.
  23. Can't be playing Tino anywhere other than full back going forward for me, it's added so much to our play.
