  1. Great line from Tydesley at full time in that comms. ”No more talk of 1969, 2025 is the last year that Newcastle United won a major trophy”
  2. Trying not to be too dramatic but… It feels like there’s a world pre 16/03/25 and a new world we’re living in. People who I have mourned and totally comfortably talking about, I can no longer think of without shedding a tear. It was a privilege to live through something they would have loved just as much. My heart feels bigger. Whatever comes next - so be it.

    Joe Willock

Willock/Tonali chest bump was celebrated like a goal!
  4. It’s working quite well for Forest at the moment… Im also not sure they can enforce any PSR breaches moving forward as 2 of those years contain illegal APT rules.
  5. Frustrating that he’s out for 8 more weeks when he’s already been out for 4 weeks since picking up the injury.
  6. Best opportunity - Man Utd 23 2nd - Man Utd 99 (as they were resting players ahead of Euro final) 3rd = Arsenal 98 and Liverpool 25 I fancy us to score at least in this one.
  7. He’s probably exhibit A when Mitchell was talking about how bad we’ve been at selling players.
  8. Agreed - not sure what other Premier League team are as poor in the goalkeeper department. Maybe Ipswich. But even Southampton and Leicester have better options. Made worse by having a pair of slow and poor on the ball centre half’s in front of them.
  9. Definitely some recency bias, but Howe’s masterclass in the 2nd leg v Arsenal.
  10. We’re better than Brighton so if we turn up we win. Even the league game earlier in the season we should have won. Whether we turn up (players and crowd) is another question all together.
  11. Agreed. When you then add in Brentford (h), palace (h), West Ham (a) and Leicester (a) then we have a favourable set of fixtures for our run in. Hopefully 20 to 24 points from these games which should be enough for at least 5th.
  12. I was 18,500 in the queue when I tried to access the site. Lets assume 1,000 tickets available. Odds of roughly 18/1 for getting a ticket I would guess at.
  13. Forest pressed a lot better in the second half. Burn and Schar are hopeless when being pressed which then brings the midfield too deep and Isak gets isolated. None of this is helped by Pope being useless on the ball. The sooner Botman is fit the better. However… a win is a win. Liverpool game is a free hit ahead of a favourable fixture list of the run in.
  14. I can’t see a way that the Premier League can get out of this. Even if the new APT are found legal, how can you punish clubs for PSR when 2 of the 3 years being judged had illegal APT rules. Moving to squad cost rules would work, but that has just been voted out as well… They’ve got themselves in such a mess and it’s brilliant!
  15. Feels like a must win just to get a bit of confidence back in our home form.
  16. He needs to find a way where our poor performances aren’t so poor. At least make ourselves difficult to beat. On our day we’re a match for anyone, but when we drop off we drop very low. Part of me can understand that due to not developing the squad. Poor performances from players like Murphy, Schar, Willock, Burn and Dubravka are very low performances indeed.
  17. Until we have better core defence than Schar, Burn and Dubravka then we always risk these results. Those three are costing us at the moment. Harsh on Burn as he’s performing better than expected, but he has quite a low ceiling when it comes to expectations.
  18. Depends whether we had any sponsorship deals rejected by PL between 2021 to 2024. If we did, then today does change things. If not, then we’re waiting on the ruling on the current rules.
  19. I’m not sure they could have said anything else
  20. I wouldn’t worry about UEFA’s rules too much. Man City are also in Europe so makes no sense for them to legally challenge Premier League rules if they thought UEFA could stop them.
  21. Director loans not be included as an APT. The fact they’re not backdating them is likely a smoking gun to make the new rules illegal as well.
  22. Still a couple of thousand left. Cant imagine there will be many people in pots 4 or 5.
  23. Reading the ruling, the logic is: - as 3 of the ATP rules were found unlawful then the whole of ATP was found unlawful. Premier League argue that the new rules resolve the 3 illegal ATP rules which makes the new rules still enforceable. The new ATP are under a legal challenge by City so they may yet also be found illegal. So it’s not an fully open goal for us yet (unless we had deals knocked back between 2021-24) but it’s could very likely become an open goal for us soon.
