  1. Feels we can’t judge this transfer until the window has played out and we see who we bring in. If our RW next season is still Almiron and Murphy then this is a disaster.
  2. He is exactly what England need. His pace and direct running means defenders sit off him which creates space for everyone else. Just that one change alone will mean better performances from most other players.
  3. Saudi transfer window doesn’t open until 17th July
  4. Based upon we sometimes go back for players we’ve been linked to, Raphinha would be dream signing.✍️
  5. Pretty much, unless we beat Slovenia by 3 goals without them scoring and Denmark beat Serbia.
  6. Very likely we play Holland in next round if we top the group ignore that, think I’m talking rubbish again…
  7. Has it been confirmed that Armstrong was onside before the penalty incident? Thought he looked off to me
  8. Has to be a PSR thing where both clubs can bank a sale prior to 30th June deadline.
  9. City are also claiming damages from the Premier League. The rule must surely be immediately lifted if they win otherwise the queue of damage claims will grow.
  10. No way they will put in rules to prevent/reduce investment in the women’s game. The negative press the Premier League would get from limiting this would be huge.
  11. At the top, Man City will continue to dominate for the foreseeable. Other clubs may pick up the odd trophy, but to call it a ‘Big 6’ is false. Mid table teams e.g. West Ham, Brighton will never win the league. They may pick up a low profile trophy every 10-15 years. Newly promoted clubs don’t have a hope in staying up unless they gamble like Forest and accept a points deduction is coming. Clubs like Forest, Palace, Everton have zero hope of ever winning the league again. If you predict what the league will look like in 10 years time, I bet majority would be correct. Clubs literally need to win the lottery like we have to progress and even then, show patience during the process. Football is screwed unless drastic changes are made. I don’t understand why more fans aren’t pushing back against these rules like they were for the Super League.
  12. Weird one this… if we sell Minteh and keep Almiron then bad business. If we sell Minteh and Almiron and get a world class right winger in then great business.
  13. Would be a great back-up keeper signing. The drop off between Pope to Dubravka was huge! Also - interesting that a club which needs to sell by 1st July is throwing around £16m bids
  14. Sky trying to drum up some transfer interest as absolutely nothing else transfer related is happening.
  15. The problem for the Premier League is just how rich our owners are. Even Reubens as our minority owner are still richer than majority if not all of the other clubs. Our main owner is rich enough to buy every football club in England, many times over. Current rules are too restrictive for ambitious clubs. Even promoted clubs with no parachute payments will struggle. Equally, having no rules will make mean only ourselves and Man City can compete, with rest of the clubs winning the odd trophy. Where do you draw the line? It needs to be a lot more relaxed then where it is currently drawn.
  16. Agreed - Saudi are aiming to host the World Cup in 2034, and everything will be leading up to that moment. Just need to worry less and enjoy the journey as much as possible.

    Next season

22/23 we also had 3rd worst injury record. Having less football due to not being Europe will help, but there’s something more fundamentally wrong at the club which needs resolved.
  18. Disaster of a season is probably too extreme. But if we do want to win trophies, then every year we’re not in Europe, the revenue gap grows and it becomes harder. Silverstone said it himself. Making seasons like this unacceptable.
  19. Concludes a disaster of a season. If we’re genuinely going to be competing for trophies, seasons like this are unacceptable. Any credit Howe had in the bank from last season is now long gone.
  20. Another Ashworth masterclass! Bloody idiot.
  21. Referees have also got worse with VAR as they don’t make contentious decisions, as they know VAR will sort it out for them. It should work of for offsides and goal line technology. For offsides, I would make it like “umpires call” in cricket where if it’s a close one then onfield decision stands.
  22. I can’t help but having a nagging doubt whether he’s the manager to take us to the next level. Too many injuries since he arrived, poor away performances, defensively sloppy and stubbornness to change obvious problems in our starting xi. However, we are entertaining to watch and finished top 4 last season. In my humble view, I think he has enough credit in the bank to see how the start of next season goes…
  23. Must win game. Failure to qualify for Europe should be our minimum expectation now if we want be serious about competing.
