They are just giving us possession and then hitting us on the break. We are just so slow. -

Shocking start so far. Clueless. -
Now he was a seriously good player, the kind of winger we need now.
-
All four leaving would be helpful.
-
I expect because Savinho is crap, Bobb is slow and doesnt look like a winger to me, Foden certainly isnt a winger neither is Cherki so that only leaves Doku, lastly they have the money so why not.
-
Most of the wingers they have are crap only really Neto and Estavao who are good. Gittens and Garnacho are as bad as the four we have.

Well at least we didn't lose. Still no momentum at all and stuck at best in the middle of the table. -

It's just about waiting for Chelsea to get the winner now. Once our physicality goes there's nothing left. I'd be happy to be wrong. -
I've never understood this Howe/Tindall dynamic. The rest of the managers/coaches in the premier league stand alone in the technical area and manage the game and make decisive decisions mostly by themselves where Howe doesn't appear to decide on anything without constantly having to ask Tindall what he thinks. We desperately need some coaches with new ideas who can change the way we play and motivate the players, either they replace Howe or they replace Tindall and Jones. They all need a fire lighting under them.
-
Why is it a transition season? We lost one player and spent a fortune on supposed upgrades. We have gone backwards and the coach doesn't appear to have a clue what to do about it.
-
Losing to Sunderland should always be a sackable offence especially playing like this.
-
They have a much better manager than us.
-
He'll get all the shit he deserves if we don't turn this round. We are so negative and that's on Howe as he's set us up to play this way.
-
Best goal Nick's scored if we are being honest. Getting what we deserve.
-
You can't play like that, so negative, so bad without copping a bit of shit.
-
Only Bruno and Hall looking like they know how to play football. What do Edddie and the coaches actually do?
-
I went to school with Gary he was a good lad living his dream. Very sad news.

Anybody playing down the importance of this game doesn’t or hasn’t lived in the North East. As usual we have nothing to really gain and everything to lose. -
If we want to get both Wissa and Woltemade on the pitch together which we should we will need to move away from a rigid 4-3-3 unless Wissa is going to play wide which he shouldn't. Watching Palace today and seeing how they lined up and started both Mateta and Nketiah is a good blue print for how to play with a 3-4-2-1. Glasner is a very talented manager and despite very little investment he is doing a fantastic job. D. Henderson Pope M. Guéhi Burn M. Lacroix Schar/Botman C. Richards Thiaw T. Mitchell Hall D. Kamada Tonali/Miley A. Wharton Bruno/Joelinton N. ClyneJ. Livramento Yeremy Pino Gordon/Barnes/Elanga/Murphy E. Nketiah Woltemade J. Mateta Wissa This system would get our better players on the pitch at the same time. Not sure we will ever see it as the wing backs become the wingers and that would mean at least three of ours would start on the bench most games. There are lots of limitations to the way we line up and play at the moment not least being how horrible we are to watch.
-
Because our coaches have no idea how to get him involved in most of our play and he's surrounded by players with virtually no technical ability.
-
By far our best player, he must find it very frustrating playing with some of our lot.
-
I said he was pants earlier in the thread and see no reason after today to change my mind. He's as much as a nothing player as Willock.
-
Ramsey wasn't good enough to start for Villa and he's not good enough to start for us. At best he's an attacking 8 or a Rodgers (very light) 10. Howe expects all of his midfield 3 to do everything, Ramsey can't defend. Not sure why we bought him. He's maybe no better or possibly worse that Willock and he should have been sold two years ago.
