Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
Famous Nick replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
this means significant savings compared to Trafford deal (this isnt long term tho) so ow I expect serious go at defennders market, another CM and the striker position needs to be sorted. if Ramsdale have a fantastic season I am ok to buy him if the fee is like 15m or so, but if he is shit and cannot put Pope to bench or he has blunders in him then let him go back to Soton next summer. -

bit underwhelming choice. he maybe marginally better than Pope, but no big way to improve for him in terms of potential like Trafford would have it. Arsenal did well getting Raya and upgrade on him. on loan without mandatory buy option could be OK. or buying him depending on us winning a trophy and getting back to CL again. imagine he will be only #2 for Pope and still we need to buy him out for 20m. ffs. -
I bet Isak wants it sorted before we return from Asia which would be around a long journey back Sunday evening next week, and mayb the Monday off for the squad but back in training Tuesday the 5th of August. at that point he would need to rejoin the squad and see Howe eye to eye ad explain to the squad wtf is trying to do by shitting on us, and imo he wants to avoid all that. so next 7/8 days I expect serious movement on this saga.

imagine Elanga is our only incoming when window shuts.

what about Emi Martinez? He is a prick but a good keeper. sounds like he wont stay at Villa.

I dont have a good feeling about this. City does have a huge hole in RB position, Walker left and also old as fuck, also bit of a HG status problem. they can double Livramento's wages easily and offer him game time too in a sie going for the title and hoping to go far in CL as he would need to beat only the likes of Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes to be starting RB and he is already much better RB, for them while few years ago it was Walker and Cancelo lol. he wont rock the boat as much as Isak, but can see him pushing for the move too if asked by City. what a horrible summer if we lose him and Isak too, and then left with 200+ extra cash on top of our transfer kitty last two weeks of August where sellers of our targets will point to the huge income we just had to rinse us with time is ticking quick with us needing to fill serious holes.

rumours PIF come to the rescue by paying big for their flop Antony to move to Saudi league which can help them to outbid us for Sesko, how nice. doing the same for Darwin Nuney to help them to find the cash for Isak...

better showing than vs Celtic, thats for sure. up next is a poor opponent, we should win that, vs K League team, whatever that is on Wednesday and then a game vs Tottenham in South Korea too. we gradually need to get better in these games and get up to speed. no striker on tour is a joke tho very far from ideal if we lose Isak and only get a proper replacement end of August. Villa away, Liverpool home, Leeds away is a hard start for PL, we need 4/5 points as a bare minimum here imo.

About 10 days ago I was giving it both barrels to Liverpool supporter colleague that we gonna keep Isak and also add Ekitike as our owners will show ambition. :((( To go from here that both could turn out for Liverpool when we meet them in PL in month is utter fucking sick... if we do sell him to them, I hope Joelinton puts in the reducers for him in that game at St James Park, followed by Guimaraes arriving a bit late haha.

But surely they must see that doing this specifically buying up the huge flops from our rivals is extreme help to those clubs. otherwise they had to loan them out and pay part of their salaries or accept a much lower fee from Italian clubs etc. its like the freedom of avoiding risk, like we say ok lets get Wissa for 55m an if doesnt work out Saudi club will still buy him for 48m next summer. they wouldnt, but if it was Liverpool or Chelsea, they woud? thats how it looks like sadly.
-
is it true PIF is about to bankroll expensive signings for Saudi clubs? Nunez (Liverpool) Antony (Man United) Joao Felix (Chelsea) Basically bankrolling our rivals wit extra ammunition and overpaying for huge flops of our rivals ad etting them get out of expensive flops with huge money. this is incredible.

get this wrapped up at least. the longer it takes the more chance for others to beat us to it.

they will imo sell Ortega annd have Trafford as #2 behind Ederson, and Ederson imo is leaving ext summer anyway. in the meantime he will get the domestic cup games only pus any games where Ederso is off. with him being a City youth player this is probably the easiest to accept for him to fancy his chances there, Delap is far more stupid decision where I have a feeling they will get additional striker in on top of Joao Pedro. to be honest made sense for City too, if Trafford realizes his potential, if not stilll can be shifted for 15/20m in a year or two to some PL clubs. we need to scout other leagues as apart from Elanga whoever we pick is being picked up by a rival. that GK guy from Espanyol would have been great but were we quick enough. in the end Barca went for him tho so we may have missed out anyway.
-
its a world cup year, not sure how Sweden doing in the qualifiers but imo its an option to keep him and tel him he will be benched a lot if he doesnt work his ass off. but if he does and helps us we may do a gentleman agreement of selling him next summer for set fee. could even get a one off bonus like 30 goals scored all fronts here is another 7m pounds in bonus as a motivator for one year. selling him now to a direct rival, with how the window has been going so far and teams knowing we are full of cash if Isak is sold, I can only see obscene prices set for our targets. and its a big if if we can replace Isak's goals. this season is crucial for us to do something nice in CL and get as much revenue from there as we can but more importantly try to get into top5 again hoping the bonus CL place (5th) falls for PL again vs other top leagues. it will be brutal hard and competetive to finish in top5 imo this season. will be harder than last time as we didnt have CL to worry about and were fresh generally. our defense are old as fuck, deffo we need to look at that.

there is a reason why Newcastle players are targeted. last summer Gordon, this summer Isak, Livramento. there were talks about Guimaraes too in the past. they are shit scared of us being in a position to strengthen without losing some of our best. if we can keep our our important players and bring in serious upgrades on the likes of Longstaff, Wilson, Targett etc. PL cartel does not want that as that could lead us being a regular CL side eventually.
-
doubt Eddie is in good mood but two friendlies coming up in Asia Sunday vs Arsenal and Wednesday vs some Asia league All Stars. we obviously need to work on fitness, going through serious preparation as games will come quick from mid September when CL kicks odd also best not to drop too many points at the start of PL as we will be more tired for last third of the season to make it up. with Wilson gone, Isak currently off, I dont know its a good moment to practice when all our strikers would be injured? have a feeling Arteta-Arsenal will want to beat us and not sure where exactly we are after the Celtic result. undercooked for sure, result doesnt matter much but we dont want to lose badly there front of Asia fans.

I think the momentum is lost somewhat since takeover. at that time Saudi league didnt exist yet much and also the WC hosting thing wasnt sorted yet. now both of these are on high level at the Saudi regime, kind of taking more importance than the Newcastle which still holds lot of importance for Qatar (PSG), UAE (City) on the field thanks to Howe and players we overperformed and got into CL again and topped it with a trophy, but it certainly wasnt because we had a great summer window last year. Amanda etc leaving, also not a positive. the way this summer goes we had like 7 weeks gone since June and only about 5-6 weeks left of the window. Eddie left on his own to sort everything pretty much. kind of crazy a Saudi ownership is struggling to bring in a serious CEO and DoF. do they think if this as important or are they ok with lack of urgency. looking at some of the urgency they have for Saudi clubs over there look at Simone Inzaghi, he lost a CL final one week, 3 days later he signed for one of their clubs as manager. we could use that kinnd of planning...

they dont want fair play as fair play would mean equality ie Chelsea, Liverpool cannot spend more than promoted sides. do they want that? of curse not. that would be the pure fair play. 20 PL sides on same maximum wages and spending power. would result in a fair competition where maybe it would be 4 different clubs in top4 each year. so dont bring fair play into this corrupt status quo system which actually has been set up by the cartel. its very clear they dont want Newcastle to do what City did meaning go from mid table to serial winners and regular side in CL. as this causedless CL places available for red cartel each year also stopped them from winning cups and leagues. they need to do everything to stop Newcastle become similar and Masters happily planned it for them. footballs history was always about rich owners helping their teams. 70s,80s, 90s, 2000s etc. I started following football in the mid 90s, those fantastic Italian sides Juve, Milan, Inter, Lazio were burning 100s of millions each year as losses to bankroll their brutal squads. FFP didnt exist yet. ve sides below them like Fiorentina, Parma had brutal players. yes some of these clubs went bankrupt, had fire sales later on etc. Moratti, Berlusconi etc it was all abut rich owners pumping their own money and paying the losses each year. PL shouldnt worry which clubs win the league but its completely clear they want the winners to be from a tiny group each year and adjust rules to support this. what chance Brentford, Fulham etc has to win it? or be regular CL side. next to nothing. but they are sheep and happy with their status
-
Chelsea and Villa sold woman teams. without that they would have been punished heavily also they would have not been able to make the transfer in 24-25 they did. it probably helped Chelsea to finish in top4... we need to find and use loopholes otherwise we fall behind the ones that do and also limited by the corrupt rules generally...

the board is doing what my company did, a colleague went on maternity leave and I had to do her job for a year with no extra pay while doing al the work I was doing before too. at the very least Mitchells salary should be sent to Howe on top of his managerial salary its only fair. bit said how the window is going with mentioned at the start of summer how we need to be quick and decisive as huge season is coming up where the added CL fixtures and fighting for top5 in league again will be brutal combo. PL starts in 3 weeks almost, I would expect due to pre season Howe now has bit less time to get involved in transfers than he had all June, early July.
