its very clear Masters and his cartel being shit scared resulted in these horrible rules. wonder how football survived with no limit on spending since 1900 until round 2010. because cllarly it was always about rich benefactors around various clubs happy to lose a lot of money but build a strong team. I started to watch football second half of 90s, who were the biggest sides mostly Italians and Moratti, Berlusconi, Agnelli families were losing shit load of money but had great sides. even likes of Parma, Lazio had sugar daddies and had incredible squads. under FFP regime none of that would have been available. football was never about profit, or strict financial checks. it still isnt if you ok at the selected few spending this summer. its about status quo ad no one should dare to trouble Arsenal, ManUtd, Chelsea, Liverpool regularly getting CL places.

highly doubtful we get any business done in June, luckily July is close, probably new PSR period will bring more action... I wouldnt sell any important player Livramento or Isak, unless we can force obscene offer out of Big 6. we have more than enough task to strengthen the first 11 and the bench especially for next season where we will have lot more games, injuries, fatigue etc. to replace outgoing crucial players would be too much extra stuff to deal with especially without a proper DoF in place.

I expect a pretty heavy draw looking at those pots. Significant chance we wont be in top8, but reach top24 which gives us a playoff vs some other club who could be brutal strong but also a team where we are favorites. It would be huge disappointment if we couldnt even reach top24 and it would again mean our CL prize money lot less than other English CL clubs would get. Villa managed to reach QFs and still put up a good fight for CL places through PL so they didnt fall back that badly despite extra 12 CL games. Albeit their squad was a bit deeper than ours, so we must make the squad bit bigger and the bench to have more quality too. Will be hard to manage these CL games when on both side of a CL game there is a top6 PL opponent. like Chelsea away, Real home, Liverpool home in 6/7 days time. there will be a few of these. Howe cannot just go with same 11 in each as that will cause lots of injuries, fatigue, but we need proper bench and quality to be able to rotate better.

more worry if they pay inflated prices for signing players from or rivals who are happy to let those go. crazy that they paid big sums for Henderson, Fabinho when they wanted to offload them and wouldnt have found buyers for them at those prices and Saudi league came for a rescue. at the very least they should put in a bid for Targett or Dubravka for 25m.

Grealish on loan? I think he could revive his form-career under Howe, and we could do something like half of his salary + 6-8m loan fee which covers his another half of salary for City. that way it doest blow our salaries within other players. wouldnt do a permanent deal as not sure how ambitious he is long term. feels a bit like he gave up after their treble win, like won it all, what else there is to fight for... but short term, in a WC year he might give his all...

I think we should look at similar profile and price as Hall and Livramento were. 30-35m price tops, young homegrown with lot of talent. they are ok to sit on bench first 6-12-18 months, not make a fuss if they arent starters week in week out. Also lot of resale value later on as home grown status is an extra premium these days. either from current rich clubs where they wouldnt get much chance or lower half sides ready to step up. imo McAtee a good player, interest in him from top Bundesliga clubs, can see him going there for two years then 50-60m transfer back to PL in two years time. I hope at least 1-2 players can be found in this profile a the squad and the bench needs ore quality for the brutal schedule we are going to have now with the new format CL where we likely not finishing in top, but be good enough to be inn top24, meaning total of 10 extra games just to reach last 16. (last time it was 6 group games to reach it)

I wish this whole Saudi league stuff would go away. they put incredible money into, latest is salary of Inzaghi is like 3-4x higher than what he was on Inter, also now its tax free, this is just not going anywhere imo. I cannot see people start to watch Saudi league in large numbers. With C. Ronaldo soon finishing there, I think general interest will die down, he was the main hype factor imo around it. Instead of that they should focus on Newcastle and try to see City and PSG as examples in terms of results. Qatar and UAE are small players compared to Saudi Arabia. luckily for those two clubs they didnt care about making Qatar league and UAE league much more than it is... Of course PSR is huge block ahead of us but seemingly there are loopholes we should explore instead of watching rivals explore it (Chelsea) and completely get away with it. With our CL status for next season new line of sponsors should be coming in too, both Saudi and non-Saudi ones. there arent even legal rules around APT now imo with how City proved the whole thing is a mess and illegal. now would be the time imo to make some deals even if look bit overpriced. we need to strike while iron is hot, we cannot allow not getting CL end of next season, as then we need to sell top players and we are back to square one.
