  1. Reports saying he has a verbal agreement with the club and that he can leave for a specific fee. I don't think he's a player we'd get quoted something ridiculous. Others on the other hand.
  2. If he moves before we do any deals, we will definitely get ripped off. I reckon a couple of signings then we see an official announcement.
  3. I think the deal with Liverpool is done. Clubs won't announce it yet so we don't face inflated prices going after our targets.
  4. It's just games and negotiation tactics and we fall foul to it. The selling club like to save face. For months, the reports said Ekitike will only be sold for €100m. The actual figure is way less. Bayer and Liverpool reported different figures for Wirtz. What I'm saying is all of that is just noise. Both sides want to look smart. Liverpool will have more than £200m once they sell Diaz, Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, Doak and Morton. They will bid more than £130m with add-ons.
  5. They are not gonna bid to have it rejected. They will be serious when it comes to paying a record fee like they were when they went up against Bayern when they went for Wirtz. As soon as we accept he can go, they will bid.
  6. They're willing to spend over £130m. It has been reported. They want us to change our stance. Today the tide has turned. A lot going on behind the scenes last week with the Celtic game missed, report of the scan, injury, training alone etc. There's plenty that goes on behind the scenes but we're only told what the club want the journalists to know and share. With the Sesko links (today) and Wissa interest, it looks like we're open but trying to save face. Add the Mitchell story, upheaval last summer, deflect some of the blame. But people don't see it or don't wanna accept it until it's official.
  7. Liverpool would have walked away long time ago if they felt they had no chance.
  8. Are you not aware of the financial mess Barca have been in for the past 4-5 years? They have just finished paying off the likes of Messi and co. They owe their injured 33 year old keeper (Ter Stegen) who is deemed to be third choice now around €40m. They couldn't afford Williams or Diaz for around €70m. They have gone for Rashford on loan with an option to buy. As for PSG, they won the CL. Won the league with ease. They have dynamic forwards and look at who they left on the bench against Inter in the final. They are not desperate for a forward at all.
  9. He's not pretending anything. It's the club that mentioned the scan and the club that told him to train alone. That usually either means head down and wait for the window to close (not selling), or don't keep an unhappy player and don't allow him to get injured.
  10. Best player that's worth over £130m to rot in the reserves. Doesn't help us on pitch, doesn't help us with recruitment, makes others think twice about signing for us. Yeah, right, fantasy, never happening.
  11. Spot on. Fine when it suits us, not fine when it doesn't. This is how football is these days.
  12. Yes, they will still sell Nunez, Diaz, Chiesa, Elliott, Morton and one of Robertson/Tsimikas. They will make around £200m on those sales.
  13. Slot isn't Klopp and Klopp got his Sporting Director of choosing. Liverpool owners have their own recruitment team again since Klopp left.
  14. For the millionth time, we can't sell to a Saudi club. It will not help with PSR. Any move to Saudi needs to be ratified by PL. And Isak doesn't want to move out of Europe this early on in his career.
  15. Maybe he liked the idea of Liverpool more than Arsenal and Arsenal balked at that £130-150m figure? They seemed to have had a verbal agreement with Gyokeres.
