The Emery chat is interesting. But besides all that...I just don't like him and find him weird So there's that We've had such a rush of success, some just need a bit of patience back (me included, at times). I do believe the people wanting change are way fewer than it seems. It's just the social media affect. When a small group's opinion gets discussed by a larger group...making it seem a massive issue.

Anyone who wants him sacked is, IMHO, a clown. Yes he needs to take a look at himself. Yes he needs to freshen so much up. But I know for a fact he's smart enough to have already started this process. I know he's as baffled with Elanga as the next guy...but working on it. He knows what's up with Gordon etc etc (likely unfixable, here). It's impossible for him to not know what us fans can see. Despite the baffling subs etc...there will be unknown (to us) underlining issues and reasons. Like I've said previously...ignoring the issues because of past successes is a sure-fire way of never repeating them. But he's going to work it out. Tinfoil hat thinking: I honestly believe there is a small group of players who are poisoning the internal feel-good factor which we've previously fed off. Suspicions of who, but no solid proof. Hence the "tinfoil hat" prefix. But something smells off.

He's everything I want from a player. Determined, skilled, brave, smart. He's our future.

He started brightly. As soon as I made a note to myself...he dropped right off It's why I don't bet, and defo don't do in-game betting.

Eddie's nowhere near in the sack conversation. However, he's in the open to criticism conversation. Brushing off the current issues, because of a fantastic recent past, is a sure-fire way to never repeat that past.

His subs were way too late. It was clear early on that we were dominant but toothless. But he'll be livid we had all that possession and control...yet didn't test them.

Early on, in the second half, it was so obvious we were in control but lacking anything to score. Subs were waaaaaay too late. Eddie needs to see the opportunities and jump on them. Wissa looked positive for the first 10 he was on. Then just got bypassed over and over.

Problem is, with such a dominant showing...it covers underlying issues and allows the usual "We were the better team. Next game we'll put it right."

So tiresomely predictable and one dimensioned. Team needs new ideas.

Gordon does one or two decent things in a game, then he's pony for weeks, then does one or two decent things in a game. Rinse and repeat.
