  1. That's exactly right. I think Wolle was much more present in the box. Eddie's tactical instructions seem to be paying off. His header and both shots were good and on target. How often do strikers shoot wide? Donnarumma, unfortunately, was even more brilliant in those moments.
  2. Can someone please explain to me why referee Gvardiol didn't show a yellow card when he brought Wolte down during a counter-attack in the second half? It was a clear tactical foul that absolutely warranted a yellow card.
  3. Elanga has disappointed me a lot so far. He seems completely out of form and lacks confidence. Take, for example, the counter-attack just before the end today. A long ball, one defender in front of him, another just behind him. A very good player could easily break through there and only have the goalkeeper to beat.
  4. And please don't overlook the fact that he draws defenders towards him, creating space. Barnes is currently making the best use of this. Wolte radiated a lot of goal threat today.
  5. Did you see Haaland's surprised expression? Simply divine.
  6. He's a great fit for Woltemade. Barnes makes excellent use of the opportunities Wolte opens up for him. It's a perfect match.
  7. That's right. Doku is a fantastic player, unfortunately also a big diver.
  8. It's great that he's back. Very solid at right-back, good attacking impetus. That will benefit our attacking play.
  9. I'm very pleased with him today. Good finishing in the box. Great header that led to the 2-1 goal. Donnaruma made some excellent saves, unfortunately. With a different goalkeeper, Nick would have at least scored.
  10. Thiaw, the Great. Our best centre-back.
  11. Me too. I have than both, Toon and National Team by Big Nick.
  12. Sorry, I'm only looking for the short-sleeved jerseys. And they're sold out except for size S. And yes, the jerseys are incredibly expensive.
  13. The original jersey is only available in size S in the DFB shop. I'm waiting for it to be available in 2XL again.
  14. I used to be a big Rudi Völler fan. Maybe that's why I like Wolte so much.
  15. No, why? Because he played through the game twice? You're underestimating Nick's fitness. Besides, he doesn't have to run as much in the German system as he did in Toon.
  16. Since Nick joined Toon, he's taken another step forward in his development. The Premier League is the strongest league in the world. The intensity, physicality, and fast transitions are amazing. I'm blown away.
  17. I find it remarkable how many of you are watching the German qualifying matches. Because of Big Nick and Thiaw, I think.
  18. And once again he provides a crucial assist for a goal (5-0)
  19. Thiaw was substituted in today in the 62nd minute.
  20. Big Nick is simply amazing; he can not only score goals, his passes are fantastic. Today he plays for the national team, like he does in Toon.
  21. Thiaw did play against Luxembourg, but unfortunately, he only came on as a substitute in the 79th minute. I think Nagelsmann lacked the courage to start him. Instead, he played Anton, who is five years older and only an average center-back. Anton played so poorly yesterday and made several truly awful misplaced passes. Thiaw should have been given playing time to gain experience, also with the future of the team in mind.
  22. But seriously. Toon has a top striker in Big Nick, someone with that certain something other strikers don't have. He can pull a rabbit out of a hat, he's absolutely not a stereotype, but a guy with surprising moments. He has what it takes to be a legend. Wissa is being showered with praise by you all. He still has to prove himself. Nick came, saw, and conquered. Outstanding performance. Now he's had a couple of underwhelming games, and some are already starting to have doubts. Big Nick will become a legend here and bring us joy for many years to come.
  23. Yes, Luxembourg have developed very well under Jeff Strasser. Their recent matches have been convincing, even though they lost. With more efficiency and a little luck, they will win.
  24. As a German, I can fully agree with that. The period from 2000 to 2004 was a really bad time. In 2002, a mediocre team stumbled its way to the final. I must also agree that the current team no longer ranks among the absolute world elite. And unfortunately, the aura of being a dominant tournament team is gone. Only disappointments since 2018.
