Norwegians are an unknown quantity but usually cheap and therefore risk free. Scandinavia tends to produce 1 or 2 very good players per season - good enough to do well in the top European leagues. Good scouting in Scandinavia canreally unearth some gems. To be good enough fo the Premiership though, the player needs to be performing consistently excellently in the Scandinavian leagues by the time he's 22, otherwise he is not going to make it.

How old is Mifsud?

hopefully we'd be looking at a better class of player by the time the end of the season rolls around.

He would sign in November/December if we were interested - the traditional date for the expiration of the contracts of Scandinavian players.

Wenger scouted Ljungberg, Rennes scouted Kallstrom, Liverpool scouted Riise, Ferguson scouted Solskjaer. Scounting Scandinavian players does happen outside of the Football Manager universe you know.

He played at Kaiserslautern for three seasons before Lillestrøm actually (Was 20 when he signed for Kaiseslautern).  Didn't score more than 4 goals in 37 games though.. Also made "Malta's sportsman of the year" in 2001. 5 goals in 11 starts for Lillestrøm this season. Kind of reminds me of Bellamy! Constantly running, creating chances for others, extremely quick and capable of netting quite a few himself

As far as Scandanvian players go Atiba Hutchinson (Fc Copenhagen) looks like the man

Although Lillestrom does have 3 good players in Koren, Mifsud and Occean.
