Does anyone know how to get rid of that on start up?

I've found this site;

http://royalflare.wordpress.com/2006/07/08/this-copy-of-windows-is-not-genuine/

but am not too hot on computers and don't even understand the intructions on there so please can someone help me out explaining it in simpleton terms!

I'm actually getting all 3 of the warnings as shown at the top of that page.

I don't really give a fuck if my version of Windows is not genuine - it does the job!

The instruction are clear enough, I doubt anybody could make them any clearer.  My mother has got Genuine Windows XP and she still gets that warning.

This one is quicker and easier

1. Go to windows->system32

2. Delete wgatray.exe (If you can't, login in safe mode (press F8 when your computer is booting, just keep pressing and you'll get a screen asking how you want to boot into windows)

3. download this file:

http://rapidshare.de/files/26244781/WGANotify.settings

Just choose free download and write the letters to start the download…

Save the WGANotify.settings file to:

c:\windows\Temp

Owerwrite if any existing files ;)

4. Restart your computer and the ugly banner is gone :D

I've followed the "quick and easy" instructions and that has got rid of the annoying pop-up on my tool bar but I've still got the other 2 annoyances.

This will be a stupid question for all you computer experts (Mick :wink:) but how to I launch Windows Task Manager? Where do I go to find it?

Press the following three keys at the same time, control + alt + delete.
